@LongTimeHistory I don't know what he said before you started recording, but he seems to be deliberately avoiding claiming any actual government authority. Note how he said "if you lie to an FBI agent..." without saying he was one. He almost certainly does not have the authority to be there.
@TheJFreakinC I'm no fan of authoritarianism but millions need to be deported, the Democrats flooded this nation with hostile foreigners to destroy our society and that has to be fixed by any means necessary
@Traxler_sc@justfor49ers@gofishh77 I've heard that about China, never seen that in the US before. This varies depending on where you are, but generally if you eat a meal in someone's home, it is considered rude not to clean your plate.
For example, a sub that contains sliced meat/cheese/veggies is still a sandwich even though it is inside a hoagie roll. A hot dog between two pieces of bread is also a sandwich, but a hot dog inside a bun is not, as it has now moved too far from the center of the sandwich space.
The platonic ideal of a sandwich is sliced meat, cheese, and/or vegetables between two separate slices of bread. We allow things which deviate from this ideal by small amounts to still be considered sandwiches.
🚨 WOW.
Sen. Blumenthal says he was “shocked” after Republicans quietly inserted a provision giving ONLY U.S. senators the right to sue the federal government for constitutional violations.
Not ordinary Americans.
Just senators.
Think about how insane that is.
Lawmakers looked at government overreach and basically said:
“You know who really needs extra protection here?
Us.”
Meanwhile everyday Americans can allegedly be detained, surveilled, have records accessed, or rights violated…
and they get told:
“Good luck.”
The provision got killed after backlash.
But the fact it was inserted at all tells you everything.
NEW: Trump’s DOJ is seeking the names, addresses, and banking information of Reddit and X users who criticized the administration’s deportation policies, per Bloomberg.
The subpoenas came from the US Attorney’s Office in Washington, led by Trump ally Jeanine Pirro. The users still haven’t been told what crimes they supposedly committed, and their lawyers say it looks more like an effort to scare and silence critics than a real investigation.
