Vedic astronomy has a depth, complexity and tradition going back to 6777 BCE and before. Lists of kings were also preserved. Found in Puranas and Jyotish Siddhantas. Western scholars ignore these. Rishi traditions connect to Jupiter as Angirasas and to Venus as Bhrigus. Many time cycles and yugas were known and remembered.

Ahimsa does not refer to abstaining from the use of force which any coward can do. It means removing adharma and harmful asuric powers by whatever is necessary. Note Rama, Krishna and many great Hindu Kshatriyas. Kshatriya Dharma requires that the forces of adharma are destroyed
