Between 1978 and 2022:
-Worker pay grew by 15%
-Top exec pay jumped by 1,209%
Major US CEOs are now paid 344 times more than their typical employees.
When I say corporate CEOs are exploiting labor, this is what I mean.
Just to reiterate, Trump wants to cut Social Security and Medicare — supposedly to address the debt — yet supports extending his tax cuts for the rich, adding $3.5 trillion to the deficit.
This isn't about the debt. It’s about doing the bidding of his wealthy donors.
The tax gap (the gap between taxes owed and taxes collected) was $688B in 2021 — nearly half the size of last year’s deficit.
For every $1 the IRS spends auditing rich tax cheats, it can collect $12.
If the GOP truly cared about the deficit, they would fund the IRS, not gut it.
Over the past 70 years, corporations have gone from paying a tax rate of over 50% to under 20%. Taxing the rich means forcing these companies to pay their share.

On the anniversary of the enactment of the Affordable Care Act, every single American needs to know that Trump has, again, promised to repeal it if he's elected. This would rip health care away 21 million people. Please help spread this far and wide.
Look at this graph.
The share of national income going to the richest 10 percent was lowest (and share to lower 90 percent highest) when union membership was at its highest.
As unions have weakened, inequality has widened.
This is why we must build back union power.
Walmart hiked prices on its Great Value food brands.
The result? Its net income spiked 93% to $10.5 billion towards the end of 2023.
Walmart rewarded shareholders with $5.9 billion in buybacks and dividends.
When I say price gouging is driving inflation, this is what I mean.
Ginni Thomas was directly involved in efforts to overturn the 2020 election.
Her consulting firm also stands to gain if Trump is re-elected.
Yet Clarence Thomas hasn't recused himself from Trump's presidential immunity case.
How is this not a scandal of epic proportions?
Incredible. Trump’s Republican billionaire skeptic became his Republican billionaire friend by giving him billions of dollars in exchange for policy favors on TikTok, Social Security, and Medicare. Right out in the open.
-Threatening a “blood bath” if not elected
-Saying migrants are “not people”
-Vouching to release violent Jan 6 insurrections
This is a man who is out of his mind and utterly desperate.
All Trump knows is that his freedom and fortune both depend on winning in November.
How we beat back the corporate takeover of America:
1. Break up corporate monopolies
2. Continue building union power
3. End Citizens United and get big money out of politics
Let’s keep working to unrig the system.
Amazon and Space X are fighting in court to have the NLRB declared unconstitutional.
This means the two richest men on earth want to dismantle the agency that holds them accountable for union busting.
Nothing terrifies them more than worker power.
- Ultra-Wealthy Elites
- Political Corruption
- Vast Inequality
- Giant Monopolies
These problems defined the Gilded Age of the late 1800s. And they're dominating America again today.
But we have the power to fight back.
Pepsi replaced its 32oz Gatorade bottle with a 28oz for the same price.
Nabisco shrunk the family size box of Wheat Thins by 12%.
General Mills shrunk the family size box of Cocoa Puffs by 6%.
Frito-Lay shrunk the size of a bag of Doritos by 5%.
Shrinkflation is everywhere.
A new study found that 35 major corporations paid execs MORE than what they paid in federal income taxes between 2018 and 2022.
Each of the companies generated billions of dollars in profit over the same period.
When I say the system is rigged for the rich, this is what I mean.
