@tom_peters ๐๐
This completes an intergenerational family arc, given that my father handed me his paperback of In Search of Excellence to read when I was a teenager in the 1980s. ๐
@tom_peters I thought you might like to know that my whipsmart 23yo son โ finishing a degree in philosophy, politics, & economics with an eye on international business โ pinged me this week about the Lockheed Martin skunkworks. My entry point for introducing him to your work! :)
To operate effectively through a crisis:
Focus sharply on the *one thing* you can do next.
Paralysis comes when people sit in emotion & overwhelm.
"One thing" mindset begins motion - with a simple, clear foot forward.
Do one thing...recenter, do another & keep going.
@DADiClementi Also, as much as I respect Arness, O'Connor (prob. the best *actor* here), and Garner (LOVE him), . . . do all of them belong above Michael Landon? *And* Ted Danson?
@MR_Roberts_INC@TenJustMen@Culture_Crit I had the same thought. The forms changed, but we *didn't* stop building wonders, even in just the narrow sense of architectural wonders. We've built many more wonders on top of that in terms of art, literature, science, communications, and transport.
@TaraSkurtu This is me in a nutshell. I've had enough experience with editorial work (and the corporate world, hiring and firing, online dating, etc.) to know that rejection/acceptance is mostly about fit โ finding its good home, as you say โ rather than any comment on me.
