I am #GSU2023 and just watched #MeritxZoe emphasizing the importance of getting the word out about 988 as a helpful resource for those at risk for suicide.

Our deepest gratitude to President @BarackObama for extending a warm welcome to our volunteers, survivors, and student leaders who are attending #GSU2023 in his hometown of Chicago!

Take a moment to listen to what President Obama had to say!

As of March 8th, there have already been 30 incidents of gunfire on school grounds in 2023, resulting in 8 deaths and 23 injuries.

Our students, educators, and school staff all deserve better than this.

Colorado @momsdemand volunteers stayed in the Capitol to pack a hearing room and testify on THREE separate gun safety bills. Rotating groups showed up at 10 am and stayed until 11 pm. This is their victory photo after the final bill passed out of committee. 👏👏👏 #coleg

Today, Florida students spoke against permitless carry, a bill that would allow people to carry guns in public without a background check or safety training. Their powerful testimony convinced one lawmaker to change their vote and say NO to permitless carry!

A shout out to #KingwoodLibrary for helping us get the https://t.co/JZXrhlJpEV safe storage message to the public. They will be displaying our cards. So proud of my local library!! #EndGunViolence

On the same day a federal judge ruled Missouri’s dangerous “Second Amendment Preservation Act” as unconstitutional, hundreds of our volunteers are at the state Capitol, demanding lawmakers take action to strengthen gun laws in their state. 💪 #MOLeg
