The idea that wanting/needing more time to write = remediation is wild. Some students just want more time to write. Colleges have always tried to rush students through writing courses & writing projects when they don’t want to be rushed.
#TYCA24 and #4C24 kick off today, and we want you to get the most out of your experience! Join us for an Orientation Session tonight, 5:15–6:15 p.m., Room 401 A-C, Spokane Convention Center. Learn the ins and outs of the Convention and how to take part in all of the events.
Why do students cheat? Why do they ask friends to write their papers? Why do they copy/paste from Wikipedia? Why do they use AI?
Because the system is designed to make them care about grades over learning.
