@simonateba@elonmusk No I love it. I am witnessing history. Hopefully some day money will be no more. But hey he could slip me cool million or so and I'm okay with that too
Idaho Statesman Opinion (April 29, 2026) is Dead Wrong
Dittmeier & Bickner call Idaho’s HB 752 “gender surveillance.” Total nonsense.
This law is NOT surveillance. It simply keeps biological males out of women’s bathrooms, lockers & changing rooms. Enforcement is only for knowing violations — complaint based. No forced undressing. No bathroom police.
They claim “it can’t happen in Idaho.” Wrong. These incidents have almost certainly already happened here and gone unreported — women who complain get labeled bigots and become the accused. The Sandpoint YMCA case helped spark this bill for a reason.
Real examples:
• Loudoun County, VA — biological male (trans ID) raped a girl in school bathroom
• Wi Spa, LA — biological male exposed himself to women & girls
• Multiple shelter assaults by males claiming trans status
Males commit the vast majority of sexual violence. Women & girls deserve privacy & safety based on biology.
Idaho got this right. Stop the gaslighting.

No, Idaho hasn't turned purple—it's deeper red than ever. The "turning purple" perception is mostly a Boise-centric theory from urban moderates clashing with the state's conservative majority, not statewide reality.Quick facts (early 2026):2024 Presidential: Trump won ~66.9% (37-point margin), wider than 2020—one of the reddest states nationally.
Legislature: GOP supermajority holds strong—Senate 29R-6D, House 61R-9D. No purple shift; Republicans dominate veto-proof.
Voter Registration (1.02M total, Feb 2026): Republicans ~61-63% (628K+), Democrats ~11-12% (120K). GOP edge steady or growing—newcomers (even from CA) register more red.
The purple talk? It's Boise-area frustration over internal GOP fights (moderates vs. conservatives), amplified in the capital bubble. Rural/outstate Idaho drives the real red trend—statewide data shows it's getting crimson, not https://t.co/uHmAMjjILO facts, not city echo chambers. Idaho remains reliably red. #IdahoRed #NotPurple
Hire or don't? The answers to this type of questions is irrelevant. It has already happened. We need to ask the question what is being done to remove illegal immigrants from Idaho. Don't elect another politician who is controlled and influenced by lobbyists. And quickly remove all who are not US citizens. very simple
Brandy you seem to be young so you might not know this, this has bee going on for most of Idaho history. The same "white man wont do the work " used over and over again. The truth is they don't have pay a illegal as much as white man. Their housing and food are cheaper. So it is a business decision. Always has been. Nothing changes in Idaho only the players and the team
@LibertyBelle208 Idaho is full of illegal immigrants form north to south The Idaho Dairyman's Association Bob Naerebout (ED) recently stated 80% of dairy workers are illegals. This everywhere my whole life I have seen this. But I have never seen any thing done about it
I disagree that a special Pride flag is necessary in Boise. No group needs a dedicated flag to highlight their interests—this risks dividing our community rather than uniting us under shared American https://t.co/pzQh4hRdWg a white, conservative, straight male from a masculine background, I don't demand a flag for my identity. My proud Filipina spouse doesn't need one either. Flags should represent broad entities like our city or nation, not specific groups.Same-sex attraction is ancient—seen in Roman and Greek times—and my own son is gay. I support his right to live authentically. But I object when the movement is weaponized for political demands of blanket acceptance, especially on transgender issues.Hundreds of minors have undergone irreversible genital surgeries, some later detransitioning with regret. Biological males in women's sports also undermine fairness and safety. The legislature's flag limits promote neutrality, not bigotry. Let's focus on policies that benefit everyone, without special symbols that alienate parts of our diverse community.
The narrative paints pure progress: "Idaho's fastest-growing region!" "Opportunity awaits!" Trade-offs go unmentioned. We still see endless growth as an unqualified good that can pave over what made Idaho special. We must correct the record: Idaho means open spaces, wildlife & self-reliant outdoor culture.Growth can be managed thoughtfully—with protections for hunting, fishing & working lands. But first, see the problem clearly.

Idaho Still Has a Perception Problem – Now It's Hitting Home in Ada and Canyon Counties Back around 2000, I wrote about Idaho's "perception problem." Outsiders saw empty sagebrush ready for federal restrictions (sage grouse ESA debates). We feared far-away views would lock up our lands & livelihoods.
The real casualty? Our outdoor heritage. Prime upland bird & deer hunting grounds fragment under rooftops & fences. Fishing access on the Boise River & tributaries gets squeezed by development & crowds. Places where generations learned to shoot, fish & respect the land vanish. What used to be a quick drive to solitude now means traffic & new "No Trespassing" signs from folks who don't always share our traditions.
Fast forward to 2026: the problem hasn't vanished—it's just shifted. Now it's Idahoans who sometimes fail to see what's happening in our own Treasure Valley backyard.Ada & Canyon Counties are booming. Micron's massive expansion is pouring billions into chips & jobs, drawing workers from CA, TX, WA & beyond.
