A new proposal in Ohio would let the state and utility companies take private property to build data center infrastructure.
The proposal from the powerful Ohio Business Roundtable would even let land be taken from people before the owner gets paid.
A document obtained by the Ohio Capital Journal shows the Ohio Business Roundtable recommending that lawmakers change eminent domain law so that it includes "infrastructure projects," a category broad enough to include data centers and projects that power them.

Mannn... Not having any personal connection to @StanLoveTheShow , I miss hearing him on radio & TV. Was always insightful and knew how to hold the audience. #StanGuyLovedTheShow
I spent all my time listening to Stan, Guy and Jay Caulfield on SportsNet. Throw in Mike and Staggy, too. Those are the people responsible for how much I love this game. Thanks, Stan, for everything. Will never forget you.
Turning medical debt into a loan traps you in a high-interest cycle for what currently is an interest-free bill. Standard medical debt under $500 won't affect credit scores. Personal loans hurt your credit score instantly if you miss payments. Medical debt can often be negotiated down or waived by financial assistance, loans typically cannot be. If this language passes, they will no doubt convert all unsecured medical debt into loans. Instead of trying to fix healthcare, they're trying to pad insurance company profits further.
CR tested baby wipes from 18 companies, including Coterie, Huggies, Kirkland Signature, Millie Moon, and Pampers, for PFAS.
The much-needed good news: We didn’t detect any PFAS compounds above our level of detection in any of the wipes we tested. https://t.co/OQP3zcbGuR
The Trump administration is quietly moving to change the Affordable Care Act to let health insurers offer people loans to pay for their care.
Deep in a document over 1,000 pages long about how the Affordable Care Act market will operate next year, the administration suggests that insurers consider offering loans to cash-strapped customers.
Under this approach, people who develop a costly disease or need unexpected emergency care would turn to their health insurer for loans.
A third of American households already have medical debt, and this approach would mean even more debt that patients owe to their health insurance companies.
The insurers, who already make billions, would stand to make even more.

The Sorsby ruling is truly disastrous. It will be appealed, of course, because one of the fundamental parts of watching a sporting event is believing that it’s as fair a competition as possible — and that no one directly involved has money riding on specific outcomes.
