I just heard from a stranger that I have a reputation as a kickass DM. So put that on my tombstone directly below "Loving Husband" and above "Shockingly Nonviolent".
POV: you're a majestic Gar. You've just been scooped up from the river and placed in a giant eel pit in a tik tok guy's basement/cistern. It's chill. However, u realize that the other gar he caught are the exact ones you find totally annoying and now you're trapped here with them
Just finished THE TRUELOVE (Aubrey / Maturin, book 15) by Patrick O'Brian. The book's UK title was CLARISSA OAKS, which makes sense because the book is about Mrs. Oaks and the Truelove is pretty incidental. First one of these in a minute that had a recognizable structure. โญโญโญ
Just finished MONSTROUS REGIMENT (Discworld, book 31) by Terry Pratchett. This is a good one and no mistake, though it doesn't hit as hard for me as it seems to for many others. Probably because I'm a cis man who doesn't have complicated feelings about gender. โญโญโญโญ
That movie remains a lot of fun. And more than ever I stand by my assertion that it is Burton's strongest film. Also, and this is going to sound like insanity, his most coherent film.
Like, I don't have a problem with Keaton grabbing his nuts and screaming "fuck" in a family movie, but I'm shocked those 1988 MPAA cavemen were cool with it.
