@jonathanbfine@culdefoudre It’s very important one doesn’t. They are parasites of the mind. You resist them by not giving them one moment of your time, the same as you must foreswear videogames and tiktok. Every person who engages with it, instead of doing things with positive spillovers, is a tragedy.
@theguardianfeed stop talking about labour as if they are a left wing party, they are mere corporate careerists who believe in nothing other than the aesthetics of power, while being utterly incompetent at actually governing. the nihilistic husk of the british political establishment.
ridiculous that you think white nationalists and nazis are better allies to palestinians than the anti-imperialist left, just because the left aren’t homophobic enough for you. you are literally peddling nazi conspiracy theories about judeo-bolshevism to own the libs
People like Leila have unfortunately fallen into a trap: the liberal, covert jewish supremacist plot of co-opting the Palestinian movement with left-wing ideologies.
This ensures several outcomes:
- The Palestinian movement is inaccurately gatekept to the Left and muddled with unrelated (and sometimes conflicting) causes, such as LGBT, open borders, and liberalism.
- The centrist, conservative and right-wing Western populations are alienated, unable to identify any allegiance to the movement leaving them available to being subverted by the 'israel' lobby and overt jewish supremacists who mobilise them against Palestinian liberation. This mobilisation also helps create cultural clashes and perpetuates the anti-Islam propaganda of the jewish lobby.
- The masses of the Palestinian movement are placated and innacurately link Palestinian liberation to some sort of Left/Liberal/Commie revolution.
Overt jewish supremacists (zionists) and covert jewish supremacists (liberal zionists and some 'anti-zionist' jews) end up influencing the entire spectrum to the benefit of jewish supremacy and 'israel'.
Palestine is not a vehicle for every other cause. Palestinians don't have to wait for a purist Left ideology to manifest in order to be liberated. Many Palestinians don't agree with this ideology in the first place.
Palestine is a nationalist liberation movement that tackles jewish supremacy head on, something that benefits the entire world. In the West, jewish supremacy is enforced by the 'israeli' jewish lobbies.
To match our resistance in the diaspora with the Palestinians on the ground, we have to tackle jewish supremacy and sever the West-'israel' ties. We must take down the 'israeli' jewish lobby.
Isolate the genocidal jewish supremacist entity. De-fund it. Disarm it.
Palestinians will liberate their own land through armed struggle.
@exiledarizona i see your point and i don’t think it’s necessarily worth arguing about; going back and forth about it is essentially a distraction from the actual work
@rednewafrikan respectfully i disagree, huge numbers of far-leftists started out just liking bernie etc, kept learning and moved further left. lots of people stayed socdems or libs too but there is a clear pipeline
@exiledarizona it depends what you mean by ‘endorse’, like i would have voted for the guy, and i’d probably have told my friends and family to vote for him because it’s harm reduction and cuomo is a POS; but it’s the absolute bare minimum and doesn’t change much
@InlandCaGuy@wordsaladjones@ettingermentum he is a political commentator who wrote a book about specific issues with policy, which is a bestseller. he’s not just some random guy; he is an intellectual figurehead to a political movement of YIMBYs, and he and klein constantly talk about how candidates should campaign
@Tacocactus1@medianachotw@VenturCommunist@GbombM75819@Gnostique_ losing your homelands? the nazis literally invaded and occupied soviet land a couple of years after molotov-ribbentrop??? stalin did it as a strategic decision to weaken the western powers, not exactly principled anti-fascism is it
The headline odds make Mamdani (92%) look unstoppable in the NYC Mayoral race - but the Kalshi trading data tells a more complicated story.
Inside NYC, more traders are bullish on Cuomo (49%) than on Mamdani (40%). Overall in New York State Cuomo leads 11%.
A majority of Mamdani’s support is from out-of-staters, 58% of out-of-staters are trading on Mamdani to win, compared to Cuomo’s 33%.
why would you do an analysis relative to the median on this issue? this could just as easily indicate a low median wage. it is extremely misleading; a PPP analysis of minimum wage would be much more illustrative…
When the MW was first introduced at £3.60 an hour in 1999, it was not uncommon for security guards to be paid £1 an hour. Because of fears over unemployment, the minimum was set modestly
But since 2016 it has pushed upwards to 2/3 of median income – and is now as high as 🇫🇷
2/6
