@VoltaireSurge@LuminescentTeam It's just a mapping tool. We have an external tool that makes it the proper BDSP format afterwards. After that it's a case of adding collisions, wiring it up to the json that says what maps go where, etc.
@PhredLevi@Aeleas333@LuminescentTeam As someone working on Luminescent/Re:Lumi/Blinding Light, "recycled source code" was a blatant lie spread by Poketubers that have no knowledge of romhacking themselves.
There is evidence that the encounter tables/trainers were ported using automation. But that's very different.
@Matthew_and_Ami@TheYisusOne Pokemon Uranium solicited donations. I can't find any verifiable proof of a romhack dev getting smacked that wasn't stupid and trying to profit off of Nintendo's IP. There was even a former Nintendo lawyer that did an interview about it.
@Matthew_and_Ami@TheYisusOne This is a set of free unity plugins that puts together a model from 100% custom assets which goes into a tool we made. There's nothing about this they could C&D except the romhacks that we aren't making.
@gmerc@beberanito@LuminescentTeam "for no reason"
"actually your reason just isn't good enough for me"
+ The regions require engine work to have the little popups come in - easy engine work, but entire work that happens AFTER the regions are made.
@ScruffyKip@LuminescentTeam As I've been saying to everyone else, this is a pre-existing unity toolchain of 100% free tools, using homemade assets, that we happened to chain together. We've been around for 4 years. We know what we're doing.
@GURGLEGUY12345@LuminescentTeam As I've been saying to everyone else, this is a pre-existing unity toolchain of 100% free tools, using homemade assets, that we happened to chain together. You doomers get so scared of everything. We've been around for 4 fucking years. We know what we're doing.
@Super_nac0@LuminescentTeam The Pokemon Company coming after free unity plugins cobbling together 100% homemade assets that export as models. Are we for real?
