🌻 Did you know the sunflower hides a mathematical secret?

The seeds in its flower head aren’t arranged randomly, they follow a spiral pattern based on the Fibonacci sequence. This arrangement allows the plant to pack the maximum number of seeds into the available space without crowding.

The pattern reflects the golden angle (~137.5°) between each seed, forming opposing spirals that often match Fibonacci numbers (like 34 and 55). This natural design ensures efficient use of space, optimal exposure to sunlight, and better absorption of nutrients.
