SDI Kenya, together with the community, held training and data collection exercises in Mukuru, Mathare, and Kahawa Soweto to develop a Climate Atlas that will showcase the climate hazards within the settlements and how they affect the daily lives of the communities.
The Atlas will highlight disaster-specific hotspots, affected persons and services, and how the community and other stakeholders mitigate the impacts experienced. This data collection exercise will empower the community to advocate for climate-resilient services to safeguard them against extreme weather events.
