Very promising session this morning on level one psychological care! There’s consensus which is to go beyond cognitive screening alone…all about how can we support/up-skill the MDT to provide this level one care!!
#UKSF24
Day 3 of #UKSF24 starts with a session on level one psychological care.
@NeleDemeyere is presenting on the ENRICH study, a co-produced complex intervention that aims to deliver this unmet need!

Completely agree..useful session. We need to upskill and support workforces to deliver neuropsych support and encourage psychologists into stroke care through training programmes
🧠 Today is #WorldStrokeDay 🧠
🔎We're proud to be working on a range of research to better understand and improve recovery after stroke!

Thought I’d share the exciting news! ☺️
As my research assistant role at the University of Oxford comes to an end next week, I am beyond grateful to remain in both @NeleDemeyere and @cjstagg labs, this time as a PhD student funded by @TheStrokeAssoc 💜
More to come….!
Congratulations to Dr @NeleDemeyere, now Professor of Neuropsychology at @UniofOxford!
As one of our researchers, we funded Prof Demeyere and her team (@Saffello96 & @TaboneFaye) to investigate how stroke can affect cognition, mood & other psychological changes. 🧠
This morning, our hub was honoured to host Professor Roy Kessels from Radboud University as part of our seminar series. His talk delved into investigations on cognitive impairment post-stroke, with a particular focus on the younger demographic 🧠 #StrokeRecovery#Neuropsychology
Members of our hub attended the British Neuropsychological Society Spring Meeting the past 2 days at Queen’s Square 🧠
Here are some snippets of talks by @NeleDemeyere & @Saffello96
As well as poster presentations by @TaboneFaye and Ibe Couwels

10 years ago our lovely @cjstagg started what would become the friendliest, most welcoming, and scientifically exciting lab. Last week we celebrated this huge milestone by inviting the PiNG lab alumni back to celebrate all together! Once a PiNGWIN, always a PiNGWIN 🧵
Earlier this week, members of our hub had the pleasure of hosting @uhammerbeck at the 3rd seminar of our monthly series 🧠
Ulrike gave a brilliant talk titled ‘Mechanisms and predictors of motor recovery after stroke’.
Thank you, @uhammerbeck for sharing your expertise!
Our research hub hosts monthly seminars where we invite guest speakers who are involved in work associated with #stroke#recovery#rehabilitation
This month we had our very own @Mels_Science giving us insight into her work on sleep after stroke 🧠💤
Thank you Mel!
