@HarryMbike @terrychristian@WilliamNB Have you tried searching for this mythical exploded transformer? Surely something of such note would reveal itself by googling 'UK transformer explosion'? Strangely it reveals nothing of such a thing. Maybe wool is being pulled over eyes?
@spamfiend1970 @terrychristian Nope. It's because the UK is no longer part of the internal energy market that protects EU nations from price and supply shocks. It isn't happening in the EU to anywhere near the same degree. That's kind of the original point being made.
@SeanReay1 @Ellsbee@terrychristian I rather enjoy reminding every leave voter of the consequences of their choice with every new opportunity that arises. Yes, it's done but saying "I told you" is kind of fun. It's time for the quitters to suck it up and stop being snowflakes.
@ZAVineHugger I wouldn't pay it, it's not a valid reason or fault. It will open the floodgates for more. Whoever accepted the return is responsible for the refund.
@HMRCcustomers 2018/19 for non filing of self assessment even though not living in the country and not registered for it. Just want an email address for HMRC
@HMRCcustomers how can my wife get in touch with you from abroad to sort out the continued penalties she shouldn't be getting as she's not a UK taxpayer. The website is impossible and calling isn't an option. What can we do it's so frustrating.
@Batonage@ChristianEedes Economies of scale, sure. But it must still be good enough to command such prices, otherwise it won't sell next time. Try applying that argument to some of the dross that is passed off as natural wine, which literally leave a bad taste in one's mouth, and it doesn't stack up.
A world first for Sommeliers Academy. An international sommellerie competition with judges in four countries and live streamed around the world...

@jamiegoode A great explanation but few in the wine trade understand chemistry at this level, hence why basic education focuses on H2S as the primary cause of reductive aromas. It is a the simplest explanation that sticks. Try telling consumers the reality and watch their eyes glaze over.
@plemess@GreatrixBrad@jamiegoode It was a bit of a rhetorical question, but a good answer all the same. There are degrees of perception though and depends on the wine...
