@EtchIsSketchy If you need to voice it out, that's okay!
I believe many of us will still stick by you. I know what's it like to be in this mindset, and I love your work. I'd be happy if you wanted to do other works.
I'd support you nonetheless. And I know others would too. π
@EtchIsSketchy Hey,
I'm sorry you are having some very realistic nightmares. I just want to let you know that you are an awesome human being, and that everything will be okay.
If you do want someone to talk to about anything, my DMs are open. I can also give you my Discord too.
@EtchIsSketchy There is always something to learn from the overall experience, no matter the outcome. You are doing great, and I know what you end up with will be amazing.
@SHOKIZM@GameMakerEngine Just make sure that you are logged in. Check the top right, you should see a person icon. It needs to be blue. If itβs not, log in. If you still canβt export to VM or any other project, restart GameMaker. If that still doesnβt work, contact support (and or file a bug report).
@SHOKIZM@GameMakerEngine Youβre providing very little info on what βdoesnβt workβ and jumping to assumptionsβ¦ On top of βto YYC or TEMPLATE onlyβ! Like, share screenshots?
Cause beyond that, I know it works. Iβve helped several of brand new users in the past with just exporting to GameMaker.
@SHOKIZM@GameMakerEngine That post was to imply that they had switched apps because they had changed the name.
GameMaker is entirely free now for non-commercial use. If you've paid for it in the past, you still own the software, and therefore can still make games commercially.
@foxyofjungle Look, even if it wasn't about money, it's still not an excuse to tell someone who just wants to learn how to do X, to offer them a resource that does all of the work for it. (Or worse, asking for X engine part to be improved.) I don't think that should be that hard to understand.
@creoncrayon I do nearly every time. I could narrow and down and find out whatβs wrong, but itβs only when Iβve closed the program and opened it back up. So a non-issue for me
@foxyofjungle At the end of the day, it is completely reasonable for a space about learning, to want to encourage resources that help teach people. We can provide the tools and libraries at hand, but not everyone wants nor will benefit for that. Even newcomers.
@foxyofjungle But I only really advertise if and when the person in question wants it for certain. Because I think that is completely fair and reasonable, even for said space.
