@b_miklasz I think it’s because they throw what has to be the equivalent of 80-100 pitches warming up before the game ever starts. Watch a starter’s routine pre-game. He throws a shit ton of long toss in the outfield then in the pen before the game starts. Maybe it’s always been that way?
