Located on the western central part of Britannia, the city of Torpann lies within Morgalan, near to the border with Urieland. Torpann has a population which fluctuates wildly between as many as fifty thousand men, women and children, to as little as a mere few thousands.
Tarntora is made up mostly of dense deciduous and coniferous forests. The land is fertile and highly arable, and is mostly covered with cropland; and there are numerous small towns, particularly those clustered close to the castles of the nobility.
The Fire Salamanders and Ice Salamanders are very much like their marsh-dwelling, completely unmagical cousins to look at. They are a freak of nature; some blame it on random magical discharges from misfired spells and leaks from the Forbidden Planes.
