Marc Lamont Hill tore into Robert Kraft’s defense of barring Macklemore from Gillette Stadium, saying that treating“Free Palestine” as anti-Jewish echoes claims that Black Lives Matter was “anti-white.”
Hill also explained how Kraft’s language about “innocent Palestinians” draws a line between Palestinians deemed worthy of sympathy and those who resist occupation: “They admire the ones that don’t throw the rock.”
“The oppressor acts reasonable by saying, ‘Let’s split the pie.’ But it’s not your pie… every time I say, ‘How are we going to split the pie?’ I take another slice.”

now....if I'm not mistaken...there's a name for this *exact* scenario....like when the *government* bypasses market forces.....and....seizes/controls industries/means of production. if I could onnnnly think of the worrrrrrd.
an eldest daughter once said being the firstborn means you’re automatically irritated by incompetence. not because you’re harsh, but because you were never given the room to be incompetent yourself. the daughters who know… know.
So businesses raised their prices to offset the tariffs, we the consumers paid those higher prices, and now those same businesses can get reimbursed from the government for tariffs we already covered for them by paying higher prices?? And *they* get a refund and we don’t??
The way white people sibling is crazy as hell to me because even if my brother thought this, he absolutely wouldn’t say it to me during a moment like this.
