@OcdCreep my friend too but for 15 years. Fortunately she let him go this year. I'm super happy that she has moved on finally. She deserves someone way better!
Meat eaters are better hosts because they care about providing vegetarian options to their guests but the same hospitality is not extended by vegetarians (to serve meat options).
Hope everyone’s doing alright! Had a good break, looking forward to getting back to it. India is going to be special, it’s somewhere I’ve dreamt of playing for a long time!
Excited about the next few months of writing as well. Big year incoming!
Niall Horan mourns Liam Payne:
“I feel so fortunate that I got to see him recently. I sadly didn't know that after saying goodbye and hugging him that evening, I would be saying goodbye forever. It's heartbreaking.”
pain is learning your 4 year old has a brain tumor in the morning.
and watching her 10 year old sister play with her, trying so hard to hold back her tears so she doesn’t scare her little sister.
all you can do is turn around and scream silently into your fist until it bleeds.
In my 8 years in medicine I have never seen the director of an institute (AIIMS Patna in this photo) on streets with the students protesting against something common. If that is happening, something is seriously wrong. General Public Jaago aur saath milo
The World has their eyes on RG KAR !
This picture is from The Times Square, USA where People are protesting against the heinous crime that happened with the female doctor but what a shame that in India only Doctors are on road protesting as if the crime was limited to our fraternity
This inhumane nature and lack of support we have witnessed from our own country people be it so called celebrities to big public figures who are silent at this crucial time will be remembered as darkest chapter of history.
Today, at midnight, as India celebrates Independence Day, a 1000+ mob attacked RG Kar Medical College and attempted to tamper evidence and prevent justice for #Nirbhaya2
This footage not only shows the strength of the mob but also the utter mockery of law and order in Bengal!
Couldn’t sleep without posting this.
My mom got a call from my neighbour (from my hometown) at around 7.30 pm that police(3-4 uniformed officers) were searching for my home. They were saying Kolkata police had asked them to summon me about some post and they searching for my home.
They eventually reached my place and my brother and sister in law were present. My brother called me and put me on speaker.
‘Did you post about a student of Burdwan university?’
‘Yes,I did.’
‘Did you verify the credibility of the post?’
‘I did see articles of media houses about the same but I blatantly believed an angle I saw spreading in people’s statuses(that it was related to the ‘Claim the night’ protest). I edited it under the post after verification.’
‘Please delete the post and don’t further post information without verifying and report to the Town thana tomorrow’
My brother apologised with his hands joined,’She’s just deeply affected with things going on in her fraternity. Please forgive her.’
‘Ask your sister to not act so smart, her career can be ruined over it.’
There was no notice/summon.
My mother was sobbing and calling every person she knows to handle this situation, she was helpless.
My brother was ashamed to his core,as the neighbours were asking why police was enquiring for me. I had always been this quiet introverted child who kept all my life, this was shocking for them.
As I’ve been reading more & more about the ghastly crime against our fellow doctor, one thing is clear: despite all our progress, women are still blamed for the crimes committed against them.
It's really disturbing to see that even many male doctors think this way
