I used to hate zoning on a fundamental level but I’ve come around to realizing that it’s a very important component to many ranged killers in the game.

The problem with an idea like this is that you’re really mostly hurting people who plan on committing to a shot. Having been a Pyramid Head, Artist and now an Unknown main, you have to be patient with your shots as you need to spend time understanding how each survivor is going to react to your power which often takes much longer than 2 seconds.

An idea like this would make more sense if the end goal was for a survivor to win a chase, but Dead by Daylight itself has gravitated away from that to where it’s instead just about prolonging a chase for as long as you can. Generally speaking, this idea does more to harm people who want to commit to shots especially now that the average map contains far more clutter than they’ve ever had before. This idea would instead just encourage zoning in bursts which I think would be far less engaging overall. This also just nerfs killers that generally aren’t all that strong overall.
