Pa social media everyone will be getting shocked like it doesn’t happen but truth is sometimes life just forces people to do a lot of sad things - out of necessity.

🩷 CELEBRATING PARTNERSHIP, EMPOWERING GIRLS 🩷
Shamwari Yemwanasikana was honoured to host Leengate, who donated sanitary pads to support the girls we serve!
This thoughtful contribution will go a long way in helping girls manage their menstrual health with dignity
Stop burning our rights!
The climate emergency is a human rights crisis of unprecedented proportions. It is already wreaking havoc on the lives of millions of people, deepening inequalities and discrimination, threatening the enjoyment of most of our rights and the future of humanity.
States’ efforts to tackle climate change remain far below what is required to avoid the most devastating impacts for people and the planet.
Despite their duties under international law, the vast majority of wealthy industrialized countries are failing to phase out emissions fast enough and to provide sufficient financing and support to developing countries for a just transition to zero-carbon economies and resilient societies.

Always go to the funeral.
Always go to the hospital.
You don't need to know what to say.
In times of profound crisis, people don't remember your words, they only remember whether you showed up for them at their lowest moment.

Gentle reminder 📌
Everyone has the right to freedom from arbitrary arrest, detention or exile.
All states have a duty, regardless of their political, economic and cultural systems, to promote and protect all human rights.

Did we shed blood for one man, one vote — only to surrender it now?
Constitutional Amendment Bill No. 3 quietly takes your ballot back and hands it to MPs you barely know.

Itai Dzamara’s family and friends have endured eleven painful years waiting for truth and justice over his enforced disappearance. His family needs closure from the agonizing uncertainty they have been subjected to. The feeling of insecurity and fear that his disappearance has generated is not limited to his close relatives but also affects the broader civil society community.
Amnesty International reiterates its call for the government to set up an independent, judge-led Commission of Inquiry into the circumstances surrounding Dzamara’s abduction, with powers to subpoena witnesses. The findings must be made public, and those suspected of criminal responsibility should be brought to justice in fair trials. Members of the public with information to contribute to the Commission through submissions must be allowed to do so, and the authorities must ensure their safety and protection.
