@dimma_opinion@MasterMaliq This story isn't about who cheated but about forgiveness.Humans are flawed, mistakes will be made even in marriage. Both men and women aren't immune to errors. However, the person who can forgive has greater virtue than someone who "didn't cheat". Character is forged in adversity.
@MAgbogidi@koladeplace @Preacherrapper This is still where you are missing it.The primary use of tongues is for building your spirit(Jude 1: 20)and not necessarily for understanding.Understanding will be important when we come together as 1st Cor 14 teaches. It is supposed to be gibberish without interpretation.
@MAgbogidi@koladeplace @Preacherrapper Don't confuse yourself. This thing is simple. Don't add "identified" to the equation. The interpretation is for understanding and not for identifying. If nobody can interpret tongues in a church, then pray in your local language that people will understand. That was Paul's point.
@MAgbogidi@koladeplace @Preacherrapper If you are insinuating that tongues are foreign human languages, then it should be very common according to your logic. How many tongues have you heard in this present time from "apostles" you know that have been identified as another human language?
@MAgbogidi@koladeplace @Preacherrapper Furthermore, let's look at the evidence on ground. I have heard the tongues of our fathers in the faith (including prophets and apostles) and none of them sound like any earthly language. They all sound gibberish. If what you say is true, this shouldn't be the case.
@MAgbogidi@koladeplace @Preacherrapper My bad my bad....I must have misread it but notwithstanding, it doesn't negate my earlier point...it even amplifies it. If it is a sign for unbelievers, then it is in its interpretation from something so simple and sounds gibberish that makes it outstanding.
@MAgbogidi@koladeplace @Preacherrapper So quick question...if it was only to the apostles, why did all 120 of them (including Mary) receive the promise? Didn't tongues of fire appear on all of them? Is Mary an apostle now? Or are you implying that all 120 of them were apostles?
@MAgbogidi@koladeplace @Preacherrapper If Tongues originally was different languages that people could naturally understand, why would there be a need for Paul to insist that there must be the gift of interpretation present if that wasn't the norm? It isn't a common occurrence for tongues to be understood by others.
@MAgbogidi@koladeplace @Preacherrapper In summary, the reasons Paul said we shouldn't speak in tongues without interpretation when we come together as a church is cos it won't edify us, & it will also make unbelievers think we are mad. So I have one question for you....
@MAgbogidi@koladeplace @Preacherrapper You are misunderstanding what Paul is trying to say. Paul said two things. First, when we come together, if we pray in tongues, we should have someone with the gift of interpretation to interpret so that the whole church can be edified..1st Corinthians 14:9-17.
