Collegium judge, Justice BR Gavai has pointed out instances of misconduct by High Court judges in the country.
I am not sure why such judges cannot be publicly disciplined. For instance, in the UK, more than 200 judges and magistrates were "formally disciplined" for misconduct in the last 4 years. Last month, a judge in London was even issued a formal warning for liking a pro-Palestine LinkedIn post. The system here in India today leaves much discretion to an Old Boys club that prefers hushing up such instances or worse, ignoring them.
