@Jamwanda2@GerryMazarire In his book “with the people” Maurice Nyagumbo writes positively about Alfred Mutasa who is mentioned in this paper. Describing him as the bravest person he ever met. He died in Harare in 2024. And surely enough water has passed under the bridge for John Mataure to be “forgiven”
@Jamwanda2@GerryMazarire President ED has shown magnanimity rehabilitating Ndabaningi Sithole and Chikerema by also declaring them National Heroes. Isn’t it time the same grace was extended to some of these early pioneers. People like Mukono, Parirewa, Santana. There may have been no ZANLA but for them!
@MartienBall There is an element of jealousy there. They have had good careers as pundits and YouTubers talking about how things were so much better in their day and how the current United crop are so bad etc. Part of them see a successful United as threatening their status as “legends”

@baba_nyenyedzi Speak for yourself. I suppose we have come to be accustomed to such reactions from you each time your pseudo-intellectualism is exposed.
If you want unquestioning fawning cheerleaders then stay off public forums 😀
@baba_nyenyedzi Is every Jew or English South African richer than every Afrikaner?
I see empowerment via the lens of employment, property ownership, access to higher education etc.
I suspect your obsession with billionaires blinds you to what empowerment means for the man in the street.
@baba_nyenyedzi Gulf states have always been aligned with Washington. Nothing new there
I predict that anything short of Iran handing over its enriched uranium will see Iran with a nuclear bomb within 2 yrs. The recent war has taught them that nuclear is the only deterrent against USA & Israel
@baba_nyenyedzi Every Afrikaner. Before enactment of Apartheid commanding heights of SAs economy was controlled by SAs of British descent & Jewish descent. The ordinary Afrikaner was empowered by job reservation, Group Areas Act, statutory monopolies. The type of stuff you might call socialism
@Cantonadevils He doesn’t have the players in midfield to play a consistent possession game and doesn’t have defenders who are happy building up with the ball gradually from the back
