I think Anthropic identified the right problem. Code review is where everything slows down now. AI made writing code fast, so the bottleneck moved to reviewing it.
But bug hunting is probably the easy part of review. And that's mostly what they’re showing here..
The bugs in AI-generated code are usually obvious. The hard questions are different. Does this follow the patterns your team agreed on? Does it make sense for where the product is heading next month? That context lives in developers' heads, not in any file the AI can read.
And there's a trust paradox here. Production ready basically means two things: someone you trust reviewed it, and it contains solid tests. AI only replaces the review step when the person you trust is the AI.
If you trust Claude enough to write your code, why do you need a separate Claude to review it? If you don't, putting the review in the cloud doesn't change anything, it just makes it feel more “trustworthy" and this is what I read from this move from anthropic, a play for trust.
By the way, one place where none of this applies: product experiments. Those should be cheap and fast, no hardening needed. That's where AI shines without the review problem and this is one of the reasons we build @dazl_dev.
There's always a bottleneck somewhere.
P.S why are we catching bugs at review time? If the AI is writing the code, bugs should be caught before the PR, not after. That's a weird time to solve this issue.
Everyone says they have visual editing
(without mentioning names)
But visual prompting isn’t visual editing

For 52 days. 3 year old twins were held hostage as human shields and bargaining chips at the hands of terrorists.
Now they’re back. 161 still left behind.

Special footage from the Rantisi hospital in Gaza - on the basement floor, a room was found with signs indicating hostages were held there, underground headquarters and a room full of weapons inside the hospital:
A Few hours ago, the pseudo liberal @WebSummit conference kicked of in Lisbon, setting the stage for a gathering of fake digital optimism.
Its major shareholder and former CEO, Paddy Cosgrave (@paddycosgrave), and its current CEO, Katherine Maher (@krmaher), have dedicated the past week to the challenging task of censoring a video that we produced, which critiques their organization.
They used false copyright claims, submitted numerous DMCA threats on all platforms - doing all they can to prevent from our video from spreading and tell the truth about their brand.
As promised, today we're releasing a new version of our video.
We removed every piece of @WebSummit's promotional materials, and as they celebrate pseudo liberalism, we ask you to celebrate with us by sharing, commenting, and promoting our video globally 🌏
"you see, liberalism is about principles not death charts. You're not fighting for freedom by supporting genocide".
Thank you ❣️

So the plot thickens!
Yesterday night, Tel Aviv time, my video about WebSummit and the Oct 7th genocide in Israel was removed from Twitter.
It wasn't only removed from my account (400,000 views), but also from @BillAckman's account (over 600,000 views), @HilzFuld's account (130,000 views), @JGreenblattADL, and multiple other accounts across Twitter.
The claim, listen to this: copyrights infringement!
This morning i got the official claim to my email. Do you know who's fighting to take down a video that went viral globally on every social platform?
It's the General Council of @WebSummit, Adam Connon!
The claim (attached): their official trailer "has been edited and repurposed to promote political agenda". Seriously, you can't make that shit up!
A week before their "celebration of pluralism" in Lisbon, the company is chasing every URL of our video in an attempt to shut our mouth and censor a video that legitimately criticize a behaviour they already "apologized" for!
The funny thing is we used less than 20 seconds from Web Summit's Official Trailer, in 6 different scenes, out of a 4:30mins video. The trailer is a promotional video that didn't change a thing to the real context of our story.
You might have heard that @paddycosgrave resigned a the CEO of WebSummit (he's still the largest share holder). Paddy also published a post he titled as "a sincere apology".
If that's the case, how come the company, which stated it'll make the right changes, is aggressively trying the take down our video from every social platform out there? What happened to it's "two sided liberalism" approach? What happened to free speech?
I hearby publicly ask WebSummit's new CEO, Katherine Maher, to pull back from it's ridiculous copyright infringement claim! Let the video run its course, swallow the PR damage, and act like a true progressive organization!
I invite every journalist that wants to cover the story to DM me. WebSummit's behaviour is a mix of cowardness and hypocrisy, and should be called out.
Please share this tweet 🙏
*** The blocked video is attached in the following tweet as a great evidence of what WebSummit has become.

Yesterday's night i posted a video about the horrific genocide Israel experienced on Oct. 7th.
The video was removed from Twitter and my account was locked after generating over 250,000 views, and counting. It contained some truths which were too graphic for this platform...
I post it again, a softer version but still hard to watch for some (*trigger warning*). I ask you to please share it again, comment again, make the video fly again!
Let our voice be heard!
