Best editing trick I used while writing my book:
@SpeechifyAI
I dropped a chapter in, listened to it read aloud and caught what didn't sound like me.
You hear what you can't see on the page.
(plus, you can get @SnoopDogg to read to you. Although it can be distracting ๐)
...then there was my 92-year-old grandad reading my book (I'm not sure any review will ever top that one โค๏ธ)

When you're a team of one, the hardest part is not having anyone to think the big decisions through with.
It's why I keep a few strategy sessions open each month.
Sometimes an honest conversation is all it takes to get unstuck ๐

If your customer interview questions sound like "What made you choose us today?"
OF COURSE they're describing features and pricing.
How many people are going to say, "Well, I was feeling really lowโฆ" ๐
Ask why. Then ask why again. 5 times. Until there are no more whys.
Social proof matters more than ever now. BUT the way you present social proof also matters.
If your social proof sounds something like, "This is the best company ever!" "I don't know what I'd do without them!" That's NOT good enough.
Social proof MUST address buyer concerns.
The #1 rule of emotional targeting is ๐ฆ๐๐ค๐ ๐ข๐ญ ๐๐๐จ๐ฎ๐ญ ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ญ๐จ๐ฆ๐๐ซ.
Sounds obvious, right?
Well... what may be common sense is often not common ๐ฑ๐ณ๐ข๐ค๐ต๐ช๐ค๐ฆ.

Why hire an external agency when you have an internal team?
Most internal teams are too close to the product.
When you're too close to it, it's hard to translate insights into action and it's hard to run meaningful tests.
#1 indicator you weren't thinking about your customer (or messaging)...
You start with design, wireframe and have Lorem Ipsum text.
Now the copywriter has to smoosh the copy based on what looks pretty and not based on the information someone needs to make a decision.

We trust strangers on the internet more than we trust brands.
It's the line that got the nod in every room I spoke in last month. And it's the underlying shift behind every conversion problem you can't explain.

Throwback to @TaliaGw at SEO Week 2025:
Most CRO fails bc we optimize for features, not feelings. Every conversion starts w/emotion; self- & social image drive decisions
As we head into SEO Week 2026, this feels pretty relevant

"Remember that you can just do stuff." โCrystal Carter
2025 was chaos. Updates, opinions, new tools every week. Crystal's answer: Treat 2026 as a lab, not a syllabus.
She's one of 19 marketers who shared what they're taking into this year โ https://t.co/ElXJoiNLC6
The agencies that continue to grow and thrive will be those that show up differently.
Theyโll lead with strategy, empower their clients, and act as true partners, not gatekeepers of knowledge.
