Another tournament, another top 64. Went 4-1 on the day with the loss being a concession to a friend needing qualification and my tiebreakers were too bad for a shot at top 8. Happy @Liquid_Fr0zen got his Q as well on the op deck. Cheering for @AlanzqTFT to take it all down!
6-2 day one in Vancouver on Azir. Most of the games felt difficult, especially vs @Prismaticismism. Happy the rest of the test group is 7-1 or better and in prime position to put up more good results!
Playing in China as a foreigner is rough, language barrier can lead to miscommunication and tournament policies are different
Lost my last round to Aurora Sivir
- Win game 1
- Get deck checked before siding
- I had 1x English tideturner in my deck (idk why I was sure that I double checked)
- That is an invalid card, you can’t play english there (I was aware and didn’t notice its my fault)
- Ruling applied is a game loss for deck presentation error
- Game loss is applied to the game 1 and not the upcoming game 2
- win the game going 1st
- lose the last game
Lose 1/2 unlucky we aren’t playing t64 tomorrow
Those rulings and the way they were applied are in coherence with how they were applied in China in the past, there was no targeting or unfair treatment, it is just unlucky
Thanks to Brighton as always for his help and Mr Zhu for being a great judge over there, I will run it back in two weeks if I get selected in the raffle
Here is the list @TalionHS@Liquid_Fr0zen and myself piloted in Sydney

Finished 9-3-1 for top 64 in Sydney. Unfortunately runner up in the best of Fiora, but the revamped prize structuring was pleasant. We go again next weekend in Xi’an!

It's still hard to believe everything that happened this past weekend. I want to highlight the success of the Prize Card Hunters discord group, with 3/8 players in top 8 myself, @AlanzqTFT, and Frosty best-of Kaisa, and Caera who made top 64. Frosty was my only loss all event too
Last meal in Atlanta before heading back to Shanghai with these two sickos @RandyyyTCG@Liquid_Fr0zen. Ending the trip on a high note narrowly avoided losing all 4 credit card roulettes this weekend!
@Prismaticismism@Collinka Congratz and well deserved! Glad to see you finally closed it out after topping every set 2 RQ. Please leave some crumbs for the rest of us in set 3, I beg 😭
@goldenboy_808 I did, after waiting 2 hours for the other semi to finish cuz one of them no sirred the final split and I couldn’t jump into another event 🥶
Dropped from the main event at 7-3. I usually play out the event regardless of record, but with literally nothing to play for it just doesn’t make sense. Imo prize wall ticks should be given out for main as well so that people out of contention still have something to play for
@sikak0 Ya exactly. There is a lot of ev in playing for best of, but much harder to realize said ev as opposed to playing side events for plated. Having a middle ground would be better experience overall
