Respected @siddaramaiah, @DKShivakumar,

Bhumi Puja was completed today for white topping and footpath construction work in Malleshwaram, Mahalakshmi Layout, Chamarajpet, and other assembly constituencies. This ambitious project, costing 1800 crore rupees for 150 km of road, claims to ensure the roads will be safe for 25 years.

While this initiative under the Brand Bengaluru project is commendable, it glaringly overlooks Mahadevapura, which contributes close to 70% of the city's revenue. The exclusion of Mahadevapura from these plans is unacceptable, as most of the roads in East Bengaluru remain in shambles, with internal roads still at village standards. This differential treatment of the government is unfair and undermines the hard work of the residents of new Bengaluru.

To ensure equitable development and representation, we urgently request the immediate conduct of the BBMP elections. An elected governance structure will bring transparency, accountability, and fairness to the management of our city's resources. It is essential for the progress and well-being of all areas within our beloved city.

If Majestic can't be maintained, how can the new Bengaluru, the tech hub would be! It stands as a testament to the need for better maintenance and development throughout the city. This pivotal location, a gateway for countless commuters, should reflect the city's commitment to infrastructure and progress. Its current state, marred by potholes and neglect, underscores the urgent need for comprehensive and fair urban management.

In addition to the deplorable condition of Majestic, pressing issues like the deteriorating roads in East Bengaluru, frequent waterlogging, and inadequate waste management further highlight the need for immediate attention and action. The absence of an elected governance structure has led to a lack of accountability and transparency, exacerbating these problems. Residents of areas like Mahadevapura, which significantly contributes to the city's revenue, continue to suffer due to uneven development and poor infrastructure.

We are writing to express deep concerns regarding the severe traffic congestion that has become a daily ordeal for the residents of East Bengaluru. Just yesterday, many commuters, particularly tech professionals, were stuck for 2-3 hours to cover a distance of less than 15 kilometers. This situation is a clear indication of systemic failure.

Currently, there is no elected representative to whom we can voice our grievances effectively. Whenever we inquire about the deplorable road conditions, our MP redirects us to the MLA, and the MLA, in turn, deflects responsibility to the BBMP. However, the BBMP remains unresponsive, primarily because it is no longer overseen by an elected body. This lack of accountability exacerbates the problem.

We urgently request the immediate conduct of the BBMP elections. Restoring an elected governance structure will empower citizens and ensure that our concerns are addressed promptly. The deteriorating conditions in our beloved #NammaBengaluru are disheartening and call for immediate action.

#NEET fiasco tells of multiple problems with the Modi brand! The foremost issue is its inability to accept shortcomings and improve! There is glaring proof that NEET 2024 was a total mess with mass-level rank riggings! Still, @narendramodi's government is not able to accept it. The reason is that he will never accept it, even if he or his party is not directly involved in this scam, because acceptance will damage the infallible image of the Modi brand. You can see similar patterns in the past. This suggests that a weaker government is better in a country like India to maintain transparency!

What pains us most is that, in India, where everything is easily corruptible, education was the only ladder for the middle class to ameliorate their situation. Now, prestigious exams have turned into Dream XI where only foul play works! Combined with reservation politics, the future is #Alarming! 😑

FIR against @AMalligavad’s NGO Malligavad Foundation for destroying thousands of years old lakes of Chola time.

Illegal acts by Anand Maligwad:
1. Stopped impoundment of water at Heelalige lake, which was going on for the last 400 years uninterrupted.
Resulting in drying out of the lake and groundwater.
2. Carried out project without an approved DPR from KTCDA
3. Broke waste wier and blocked the existing sluice gate without KTCDA permission
4. Dumped soil in the lake area to reduce the lake area and block natural flow of water

Now an FIR is filed against Anand Malligwad with the following sections:

Part 1: Violation of KTCDA sections:
12.2 construct any structure on tank land, occupy any tank land or part thereof or cause any obstruction at the natural or normal course of inflow or outflow of water into, or from, the tanks on the upstream and or downstream

12.4 dump debris, mud or earth soil into the tank

12.6 Construct roads, bridges and allied works within tank area including the tank bund

12.7 breach bund, waste weir including lowering raising the height of the waste weir from its original height

12.8 destroyed the impoundment of water, blocked the sluice gate, thus disabling flood control

Part-2: IPC sections:
IPC 447 mischief - any act which causes a diminution of the supply of water for-
- Agricultural purposes, or
- Food or drink for human beings or for animals, or
- Cleanliness or
- Carrying on any manufacture

IPC 430 criminal trespass

Note that KTCDA cannot be absolved of blame: It failed to take prompt action to stop this misadventure.

In fact, KTCDA has violated its own KTCDA Act, as follows:

13 Failed to protect the lake while the project is going on.
14 Failed to seize the JCB and other vehicles used for the work; and to arrest people.
