In the past several weeks and months, we seem to be fielding a lot more abuse, name calling and general trolling than we have before.
We have just reached episode 242 of our podcast and weโre into our fourth season of co-hosting, which we love and adore.
One thing weโve always said is that the more successful and recognised we become, we will always hold a zero tolerance policy - we understand we are the first line of communication, education and information for our beloved Wakefield Trinity and that opens us to the public, more than before.
We also understand that we should be open to criticism and feedback - something we pride ourselves on is that the reason we have lasted until episode 242 is because we take the majority of feedback on board and we have tailored a podcast for anyone and everyone, our popularity and listenership is something we could never imagine.
โฆbut what we will not accept is abuse, trolling and people attempting to take advantage of our good nature. We do all of this for free, off our own backs and in our own time - we have our own families, relationships and social lives, we do not tolerate any actions of cowardice from behind a phone screen or computer keyboard.
We will re-evaluate our stance on the podcast going into 2026, as we quite frankly donโt have the time or energy to be putting so much work into something - when we receive abuse and online trolling.
Itโs unfortunately a representation of society in 2025, we donโt need it and we wonโt tolerate it.
If anything we say effects you so much or if anything Wakefield Trinity have done effects you so much - that you feel as though you have to abuse myself or my dad, then take yourself away from social media and get some fresh air.
We will block anybody that lowers themselves to abuse, especially when it comes to a passion project like our podcast. We wouldnโt stand for this in real life and we wonโt stand for this online.
This is the last time we will comment about this.
It is with profound sadness that Dad & I announce the loss of Peter Robinson - Leeโs brother and Jamieโs uncle.
Peter battled tremendously hard against his cancer diagnosis for the past 18 months and took his final breath this morning at 07:27.
Peter was the biggest Wakefield Trinity fan anybody could meet and had watched the club for 50+ years alongside his family - his passion and desire for all things Trinity will live on forever.
As well as being a fan, Peter worked as a club photographer for Wakefield Trinity for many years and his love for both Rugby League and photography really made his life worth living.
Peter was also a prolific poster on online forums, known as โPoptartโ - coming from his tee total history and always preferring a can of pop over a pint of beer.
Peter appeared on our podcast 14 times and he loved every second of it. This is incredibly painful for both Dad & I, weโre proud to say we were with him on his dying day.
Unfortunately Peter could not attend Old Trafford this past weekend but he did watch the game on his iPad from his hospital bed, he described the events as โunbelievableโ.
When Peter got moved into Wakefield Hospice earlier this week, the Super League trophy was brought for him to hold - the first time heโd seen Trinity lift a major trophy - Peter was born 2 months after the 1968 Championship final victory.
Another good one gone, forever a gentleman - Peter Stuart Robinson.
We love and miss you already, Peteโฅ๏ธ

After five incredible seasons the Wakefield Trinity Heritage Podcast, we thought it was time to evolve.
What started as a podcast celebrating the history and heritage of our beloved club, has evolved into something more than we expected.
We feel the podcast itself has grown beyond its original purpose, the heritage side will always be apart of us and itโs something weโll continue to celebrate.
From today it feels like the right time for the name to represent what the podcast has become and weโll now be known as ๐ง๐๐๐๐๐ก๐ ๐ง๐ฅ๐๐ก๐๐ง๐ฌ.
Exactly the same podcast, exactly the same content, exactly the same hosts and cast of characters weโve accumulated over the years.
To everyone that has listened, watched, shared, messaged and appeared on the podcast over the last 322 episodes - thank you!
The Wakefield Trinity Heritage Podcast will always be where it started but now itโs time for a new chapter!
Kindest of Regards
Lee & Jamie Robinson

Our 53rd Major Final together vs Our 1st Major Final together.

This is the first time in 36 years that Trinity finish bottom of the ladder and the first time in 25 years that weโll play in the 2nd tier.
Itโs rough and it hurts. Fans and associates far and wide can shout, swear and blame as much as they want but remember that this is a life for some, for most.
Itโs tiring enough to read the constant barrage online of who should leave or whoโs to blame or how much you wonโt be there to watch Trinity next season.
All I know is, Iโll be there and so will some others. Take a breath, enjoy your winter / Christmas and support the boys in 2024 and beyond.
