@aar9893 I dont remember any of these hits deforming the SAFER barrier even close to the same severity as we saw yesterday. That should speak for itself.
@Kenny_Wallace Mom got tickets to that race through work. 10 year old me had never been to a nascar event before. Her coworkers couldnt miss work the next two days so my best friend and I got to attend in their place. Kenseth spun Gordon off turn 4 right in front of us and got BURIED in mud.
@bobpockrass Man Iโm still on board with the idea of having the Allstar at Bowman Gray for $1M with a wild format. Use the Allstar to get as wild as we want once a year. Then move the Clash/Shootout back at Daytona with prev. season pole winners & past winners for a 35 lapper. Thats the move.
@jeff_gluck Stop trying to make NASCAR something it isnt. Make the cup car an xfinity chassis with 900hp. Ditch the playoff format. Make going to (most of) the races affordable again. Make the weekends slightly longer. Find a more simplistic TV deal for the viewer. (streaming, network?) IMHO
@FreddieKraft@Jordan_Bianchi Like most everyone else, Dover ASR is hot garbage and I wish we had The Rock and the Roval back on the oval. Glad we got a phenominal 1.5 back in Chicagoland though.
@Lucas17jackson @MattWeaverRA I can promise you, pavement will slow you down much faster than grass lol. The only thing โbetterโ at catching a sliding car is gravel or sand, but thatโs obviously not an option here.
@MattWeaverRA And before the โeach config costs the teams more moneyโ argument shows up, honestly at this point what other options do we have that would be cheaper and fix everything all at once? At least try to attack each track type individually to start.
@MattWeaverRA Id love to see nascar create a specific package for short tracks, intermediates, RCโs, & SSโs. Four configurations each varying in horsepower and aero. We have done that in the past and based on the box the next gen puts us in I feel like this may be the best route to explore ATM
