I am sorry to say that we came up just short last night in the voting for Attorney General. Congratulations to Jonathan Weinzapfel on winning the nomination. I want to thank everyone who supported me throughout this campaign.
When I retired from the Indiana Senate last year, I was proud to endorse @Rodney4Indiana as my successor. Now, I’m proud to endorse him for re-election in the May 3rd primary election! https://t.co/pE75LV0h7A
Next week, Rodney Pol Jr will officially become the State Senator for District 4. I encourage everyone to follow him at @senrodneypol to stay up to date on what is going on in the State Senate.
Indiana lost a truly great Hoosier today. Joe Kernan lead our state through some difficult times and his legacy will not soon be forgotten. https://t.co/kWV5oYzRfa
It is crucial that we win back this office. We know that Hoosiers need an Attorney General who will protect their healthcare, lead on criminal justice reform, and bring integrity to this office. I look forward to working with Jonathan to do just that.
So many of the issues that we all care about will be on the ballot this fall. I hope you will stay energized with me because we need to elect our great candidates up and down the ballot.

Now Indiana should make sure its own civil rights act includes gender identity and sexual orientation, something the @INSenDems have fought for years to include!
This is unacceptable and will require investigation from the Legislature and the Attorney General’s office. Hoosiers need new leadership that will ensure seniors aren’t taken advantage of and are receiving the care they need. https://t.co/Y0DYKF4qbr
Today is a good day. We know in how hard fought all LGBTQ+ protections are here in Indiana. All Hoosiers should be free to be who they are. This is a major pride month win for all Hoosiers and all Americans. https://t.co/KVYt95L2hn

Today is Women Veterans Day. Women’s roles in society and the military has significantly changed over the last 100 years. Even today it is important that we support women serving our country by ensuring their access to healthcare and education. Thank you for your service!
My colleagues @eddiemelton4IN and @chrischyung are absolutely right about expanding and improving our vote by mail system for the fall. We have the resources from the federal government to do this. Hoosiers deserve flexible voting options. https://t.co/fDPKT2Akt1
Incorporating social workers is one solution to police reform that I have mentioned since the start of the campaign. This type of approach can lead to better integration between law enforcement and social services while providing improved training and best practices for police.
Being able to connect law enforcement with social services is key to improving our criminal justice system. Griffith has already seen a major drop in violent crime and as Attorney General I will work with local stakeholders to bring these results to scale across the state.
I am proud of my statehouse colleagues in the Black Caucus for their much-needed leadership. I look forward to working with leaders like Senator Melton and Senator Breaux to make progress on this crucial aspect of criminal justice reform. https://t.co/ceOTFbcn7e
There is no excuse for racism in our police forces, and I am proud to stand with the @INBlackCaucus in calling on the governor and local officials all across the state to adopt these reforms to eradicate racism in our criminal justice system.
