OBSESSED BEYOND BELIEF

I don’t think I’ve ever seen or heard of an obsession like this in modern day football.

People will talk about Liverpool and Southampton, but that was relatively fleeting.

How long’s this been going on for now?

Boehly and BlueCo are utterly smitten with all things Brighton. Almost to the point where I’m starting to wonder if there’s something personal. Did Bloom pi** them off? It can’t be, I know, but it’s so strange.

David Weir… let’s be fair. Is a good man. But he’s not a progressive elite appointment at this point is he. So there’s no question he’s been hired purely for the Brighton connection, not for sporting reasons.

I’m guessing BlueCo want to glean as much about the Brighton and Bloom operation as they can, that’s the only theory that makes sense to me at this point.

Because let’s be real.

As much as I’m an optimist, and huge backer of our club and of Tony, as you know. We’re not winning the league, we’re not winning trophies, we’re not even in Europe right now. So there’s surely not that many football reasons for a club like CHELSEA, to want to emulate Brighton.

And as much as I joke sometimes, I’m saying respectfully to their fans as well - CHELSEA are a huge, ELITE, club.

So what the hell are their owners doing copying a club kicking around mid-table of the league? #CFC #BHAFC
