When everything seems unjust, impossible and brutal, a sugar-coated, hand clappy, neoliberal International Women’s Day feels jarring.
Women bear the brunt of most systems, Black and Brown women disproportionately so. My heart is with my sisters who are at the sharpest end today
This is shocking and absolutely wrong.
Anti Zionism is not Antisemitism.
People targeting Jewish people as a way to protest against Zionism is antisemitism.
Opposing settler colonial Zionism and associated genocide is not antisemitism, it’s antiracism.
Teachers, you’ve been told you need to be thinking about mini white boards, cold calling, tracking the speaker & the angle at which a student raises their hand, instead of creating a climate for:
Affirmation
Building community
Critical thinking
Democracy

Kids are looking for purpose in their days, just like us.
I think this was very disingenuous of you @piersmorgan.
I appreciate that you bring guests on your show with various opinions and perspectives.
However, when Ben Shaprio (Jewish) says he doesn't condone gay marriage due to religious grounds, your response was:
"I understand your religious point of view."
But, when Abdul Wahid (Muslim) said he thinks homosexuality is a sin, your response was significantly more combative.
You didn't seem to have a problem with Ben opposing gay marriage from a religious POV, but when Abdul called homosexuality a sin from a religious POV, that seemed to be a problem for you.
Why?
If you have Muslim staff or pupils in your school please listen to this speech so that you can have a deeper understanding of what it's like to be a Muslim in this country.
