بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
الحمد لله رب العالمين والصلاة والسلام على اشرف الأنبياء والمرسلين سيدنا محمد وعلى آله وصحبه اجمعين

Alhamdulillah Thumma Alhamdulillah. Dengan izin dan kasih sayangNya, kita telah sampai pada Tahun Baru Islam, 1448 Hijriyyah.

Terdapat beberapa keutamaan dalam menyambut Tahun Baru Islam 1 Muharram 1448 Hijriyah. Menurut Kitab Kanzun Najah Was Surur karya As-Syeikh Abdul Hamid Bin Muhammad Quds al-Makky, terdapat beberapa keutaman di bulan Muharram ini.

1)Dianjurkan berpuasa pada hari terakhir bulan Dzulhijjah dan hari pertama awal Muharram ini. Al-Hafidz Ibnu Hajar bahawa As Sayyidah Hafshah istri Rasulullah Shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam mendengar dari Rasulullah Shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam bersabda:

مَنْ صَامَ آخِرَ يَوْمٍ مِنْ ذِي الْحِجَّةِ وَ أَوَّلَ يَوْمٍ مِنَ الْمُحَرَّمِ جَعَلَهُ اللهُ تَعَالى لَهُ كَفَارَةَ خَمْسِيْنَ سَنَةً وَ
صَوْمُ يَوْمٍ مِنَ المُحَرَّمِ بِصَوْمِ ثَلاثِيْنَ يَوْماً

“Barang siapa yang berpuasa di hari terakhir bulan Dzulhijjah dan di hari pertama bulan Muharram maka Allah jadikan baginya sebagai pengampunan dosa lima puluh tahun. Dan puasa satu hari di bulan Muharram bagaikan puasa tiga puluh hari”.

2)Bulan Muharram adalah salah satu dari bulan yang dihormati dan dimuliakan oleh Allah SWT. Yakni Al-Ashur Al-Hurum, الشهر الحرم.
Dianjurkan pada bulan tersebut untuk berpuasa selama 3 hari iaitu pada hari Khamis, Jumaat dan Sabtu.

Imam Hujjatul Islam Abi Hamid bin Muhammad Al Ghazali meriwayatkan di dalam Kitab Ihya Ulumuddin dari Nabi Muhammad SAW :

مَنْ صَامَ ثَلاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ مِنْ شَهْرِ حَرَامٍ الخَمِيْس وَ الجُمُعَة وَ السَّبْت كَتَبَ اللهُ تَعَالَى لَهُ عِبَادَةَ سَبْعَمِائَة عَامٍ.

“Barangsiapa berpuasa selama 3 hari di bulan yang dihormati oleh Allah (الشهر الحرم) iaitu hari Khamis, Jumaat dan Sabtu maka, nescaya Allah memberi ganjaran baginya bagaikan ibadah 700 tahun.”

3)Dianjurkan di hari pertama bulan Muharram membaca Ayatul Kursy sebanyak 360 kali diawali setiap kalinya dengan Basmalah. Dan selesai membaca Ayat Kursy tersebut hendaknya membaca doa berikut :

اللَّهُمَّ يَا مُحَوِّلَ الأَحْوَال ۞ حَوِّلْ حَالِي إِلَى أَحْسَنِ الأَحْوَالِ ۞ بِحَوْلِكَ وَ قُوَّتِكَ يَا عَزِيْزُ يَا مُتَعَال ۞ وَ صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالَى عَلَى سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ وَ عَلَى آلِهِ وَ صَحْبِهِ وَ سَلَّم ۞

“Wahai Yang mengubah keadaan-keadaan, ubahlah keadaanku kepada keadaan yang paling baik, dengan daya dan kekuatan-Mu wahai Yang Maha Mulia lagi Maha Luhur. Dan semoga Allah senantiasa bersalawat dan bersalam atas junjungan kita Nabi Muhammad dan atas keluarga dan sahabat beliau.”

Berkata Al Imam As Sayyid Ahmad Zaini Dahlan sebagaimana bersumber dari bebberapa Ulama :
“Barangsiapa yang membaca dan mengamalkan yang demikian tersebut maka, di tahun itu merupakan benteng yang kukuh baginya dari Syaitan”.

Semoga Allah SWT mengolongkan kita antara ahli-ahli Akhyar dan menerima segala amal ibadah kita, mengampunkan semua dosa-dosa & kesalahan kita yang terdahulu dan dikurniakan kesihatan yang bermanfaat lebih baik dari tahun sebelum ini.

It is interesting and informative to compare Europe’s two predominantly Muslim peoples: Bosniaks and Albanians.

Bosniaks today often retain a strong sense of Muslim identity and have a feeling of solidarity with the wider Muslim world. Albanians, by contrast, tend to have a much weaker attachment to Islam as a marker of collective identity, with both Albania and Kosovo operating more clearly as secular European nation-states.

A large part of the difference can be traced to divergent historical experiences in the late 20th century. The Yugoslav wars hardened Serbian, Croatian, and Bosniak national identities, crystallizing them into distinct peoples in ways that obscured how closely integrated they had become by the late Yugoslav period.

It is easy to forget that these three groups shared a common language and a broadly similar culture, while decades of socialist rule had significantly reduced the public salience of religion. In many respects, the differences between them were arguably less pronounced than those between Lebanon’s Christian and Muslim communities, or between Syria’s Sunnis, Alawites, and Druze.

For Bosniaks in particular, the smallest and most vulnerable of the three groups, the experience of mass violence and ethnic cleansing in the 1990s, targeted solely for their religious identity by Serbian nationalist forces, must have been deeply traumatic. It transformed that identity into a central reference point for their survival and later political self-definition. This is why they tend to identify closely with their Ottoman legacy today and chant for Palestine.

Albanians, on the other hand, followed a different trajectory. They entered the modern era as a clearly distinct ethnolinguistic group, separate from the South Slavs around them. Even in Kosovo, Serbian repression was directed primarily at Albanians as an ethnic group rather than at Muslims as such. Both Muslim and Catholic Albanians were affected, and this shared experience of being targeted as Albanians reinforced national identity over religious identity.
