@unlearn16tweet I feel the far right and extremists are making things so difficult for people who are “religious”—Christian, Muslim, Hindu etc. It’s so disheartening and a battle that seems impossible to fight on most days. Thanks for the discussion. I should get back to marking. 😂🤦🏻♀️☺️
@unlearn16tweet I agree; I honestly think that had you worded it as “some people turn religion into” would have helped. There are others that follow Jesus for example, who aggressively challenged systems & stopped the stoning from taking place. They may consider themselves religious too.
@unlearn16tweet To add, I completely back you up in regard to the original post you responded against. Just throwing that out there. I love what you do @unlearn16tweet and you are an amazing educator. That’s why I wanted to respond in the way that I did. ❤️
@Kanan_Jarrus_@CelticGameing@unlearn16tweet@EndWokeness Would never argue she cares; that’s why I replied. I’m not here to judge who’s better but like her, I can share an opinion. I love pretty much everything she says; I can’t agree here & there are other ways of wording it without making a generalization about religion as a whole.
@Grimpster@unlearn16tweet@EndWokeness And…just as my message was misinterpreted and it seemed to have sounded condescending, imagine what saying “religion has no morals” can sound like to one of her students who belongs to a religious tradition. She says a ton of great stuff; this wasn’t one of them in my opinion.
@Grimpster@unlearn16tweet@EndWokeness She said “religion” not “spirituality”. The difference lies there. I didn’t mean to sound condescending at all. I know that she cares deeply for her students & that she would never mean to offend them. She’s good at calling things out; so am I.
@unlearn16tweet@EndWokeness Pt 3. We live in a multi-faith country. Many of the students you teach may belong to different faith traditions & your comment is disrespectful to each of them & their families. You preach respect; you haven’t shown it here.
From one teacher to another, do better next time.
@unlearn16tweet@EndWokeness I respect many of your posts. This one was disappointing as I feel it’s disrespectful towards believers of different faith traditions. Personally as a Catholic, I’m rooted in Jesus’ teachings. His message of love was strong and he challenged the same systems you so often do. Pt 1
@2cheee I legit need to add this reminder to my phone: “Go on Twitter to catch up on Tucci’s tweets!” Lol
Without fail I get a kick out of every single one. Someone needs to get you on a talk show! ☺️
A WCDSB contest with a simple task. My favourite D2L feature or a tip! There’s something to be said about how excited students get when they see their own name on the page. Their very own personal greeting. It’s the little things. ☺️ How to? {FirstName}!
