Transfronteriza. Californiana. Bilingual Journalist. Community Opinion Editor @sdutOpinion. Born in San Diego. Made in Tijuana. All the way to the Bay.
I start working as a journalist almost 18 years ago. I would see the border and a bit of San Diego from the window of my classroom —at my college school in Tijuana— and in the afternoons I would go to Zeta’s offices.
My latest @sdutOpinion on the 2026 World Cup: I should feel joy, but I feel conflicted. Between Mexico’s violence and U.S. economic struggles, it’s hard to cheer amidst such pain. ⚽️💔 https://t.co/qeHwgQCXN9
While the U.S. spends billions on deportations, Spain is legalizing migrants to save its pension system. My latest @sdutOpinion: Why treating migration as an economic investment beats a war on working families. https://t.co/OS0DoT00Wz
Venezuelans’ stories are powerful and heartbreaking. After years of listening as a journalist, I keep wondering: are we really hearing them?

My latest opinion: When cruelty becomes policy, presence becomes protest. Poner el cuerpo means more than showing up — it’s resistance. In Trump's America, that resistance is happening now. https://t.co/mhW9ynIdcG

@sdutOpinion Community Opinion Editor Tania Navarro @tanianav writes about the new financial burdens border communities might face. These sweeping rules risk harming everyday people, not stopping crime, she writes. https://t.co/bfFIMFrl11
Losing a job can be tough, but sharing arepas with coworkers taught @sdutOpinion Community Editor @TaniaNav the power of dignity and unity. Today, as she reflect on that memory, the fight for civil rights continues. https://t.co/OSYVBQnqkC
