Democracy cannot live when the rules meant to protect it are constantly abused by those who have nothing but contempt for that system, while those who support democracy are constrained from meaningfully protecting it.
Alright guys, since this post seems to be popping off, go support the DSA, become members, canvass, phone bank, whatever, just go out and ensure socialist candidates win.
@NKGBread@LyreonArt@krishixhyas@harbingerofwoke Ehh, its more like the DSA would be a driving force for that change and engagement, like with communist trade unions and organizations in Britain.
Admittedly, this whole thought process was kinda half-assed since I was working, and I did not think it would become my big hit tweet
CNN: From New York to Seattle to DC, more cities are picking democratic socialist leaders
The growth in democratic socialists' influence comes as Democrats are grappling with what kind of leaders are more electable and what messages will resonate most with voters beyond vowing to oppose President Trump.

@LyreonArt@krishixhyas@harbingerofwoke Lenin basically did this with the Russian Social Democrats, causing the whole Menshivik/Bolshevik feud, so thinking the same could be applied elsewhere to parties like the Labour Party isn't unfounded. I'm just saying it's unlikely because of historical context, and also with-

@LyreonArt@krishixhyas@harbingerofwoke I mean, probably not, I don't see the DSA ever becoming revolutionary, or being able to shift the Democratic Party to being revolutionary, unless material conditions in the U.S. significantly changed. I do think Lenin would see the DSA as a useful tool to shift the Dems to the -

Essentially, he said that communists should infiltrate and use the Labour party's organization to then shift it into a revolutionary workers party
Man, these past couple of days have been so demoralizing. Like there is a genuine possibility Republicans flank Democrats from the left with Iran and Israel, and that is such a horrendous timeline to think about.
I hold every goddamn centrist/AIPAC ghoul responsible for this
@Ravvenrotth@ZedSoxs He did say that he would arrest Putin, like Netanyahu, if he ever visited NYC, following the ICC warrant on Putin. I'd say that is, at the very least, marginally pro-Ukraine.
One of the greatest problems Americans need to recognise is that this country is incredibly mismanaged, and the only thing holding everything up is the vast sums of wealth that go through cities. Compare European cities to American ones, and it becomes clear how bad things are.
@ProgressiveVic Hey PV, thanks for responding. And yeah, I wish she was better about Ukraine, but I also think withholding an entire endorsement over just Ukraine, wasn't the move to make, esspecially when she is running against an establishment candidate. Idk, I understand, but disagree.
I usually like the work PV does, but this is dumb. Like Zhoran said back in 2025, even if you disagree on one issue, if you agree with him on most issues, you should vote for him. PV should endorse, not because they agree with all positions, but because it furthers their goals.
