数ヶ月前に自分でPSAアメリカへ直送していた一枚が戻ってきた。
記録も兼ねて、ここに共有します。

今のカード市場で見れば、
決して高額なカードではないのかもしれない。
それでも自分にとっては、
特別な意味を持つ一枚だった。

当時WCCFをプレーしていた者にとって、
このカードはひとつの“聖杯”に近い存在��ったと思う。

「全能なる将軍」ジネディーヌ・ジダン。

あの頃、
このカードに憧れを抱いた者は多かったはずだ。
もちろん、自分もその一人だった。

このカードを見るたびに、
学校帰りやバイト後に夢中でWCCFをプレーしていた、
あの日々を思い出す。

この一枚が特別なのは、
2010年南アフリカW杯に向けたadidasのキャンペーンで、
2009年のジダン来日時に本人がサインしたとされる点にある。

当時の来日イベントの写真も何枚か残っており、
そういった背景も含めて惹かれた一枚だった。

好きだったWCCFのカードに、
彼自身のサインが宿っている。

近年の簡略化されたサインとは異なり、
ここにはフルネームに近い、
丁寧で伸びやかな筆致が残っている。

海外製カードで主流のネイビーではなく、
黒インクがしっとりと収まっているのも、
日本での邂逅を物���るようで印象的だった。

それを見た瞬間、
迷わず手に取っていた。
以来、ずっと頭から離れない存在だった。

日本PSAではデュアル鑑定に対応していなかったため、
今回は久しぶりに自分でアメリカへ直送してのデュアル鑑定となった。

サイン評価「10」をいただけたのは、
本当に感無量。

おそらく、
このカードでサイン評価「10」が付いたものは、
他にほとんど存在しないのではないかと思う。

だが結果以上に、
あの頃の記憶と共に、
これからも手元に残しておきたい一枚。

あの頃、
ショーケース越しに見上げていた存在が、
二十数年の時を経て、
こうして手元にあることに不思議な縁を感じる。

いつかまた、
あの頃と同じようにWCCFの筐体が並ぶ景色を、
どこかで見られたらと思う。

Incredibly poor that the identity of the club is being stripped back, with the CFC LDN brand forced onto fans more and more.
