There is a video of a district-level IAS officer visiting a temple surrounded by armed police. In another case, an IAS-IPS couple posted in a district had 56 personnel deployed at their bungalow.
These are not isolated incidents. District-level IAS and IPS officers routinely deploy 25 to 40 personnel at their residences, along with 3 to 4 government vehicles and drivers. They routinely block traffic for their movements.
Why is this treated so casually in India?
This is not privilege. It is misuse of public resources and abuse of authority. Misappropriation of public money and misuse of government personnel, vehicles, security, funds or any other public resource for personal luxury, status or convenience must invite immediate and severe punishment. Anyone found doing this should be removed from public office.
They are public servants, not rulers. How can they serve citizens with this mindset? They are unfit for public service.
What is shocking is how normal this feudal culture has become. Society is conditioned to treat it as the natural privilege of office. It is not dignity of office. It is VIP culture built on taxpayers’ money and the humiliation of citizens.
Then comes the myth that clearing the UPSC makes someone universally intelligent. Rote learning of intermediate-level textbooks and clearing a deliberately difficult examination does not create expertise, yet the system gives them lifelong authority and privilege. That they are not experts is evident from the condition of public services despite their rule over district administration since independence. The police force, one of the most corrupt and insensitive institutions, is totally controlled by the IPS.
This is feudalism at the heart of the system: one examination, lifelong authority, extraordinary privilege and presumed expertise over everyone else.
That is not how a strong democracy works.
In 2002, an IIT Kanpur civil engineer working as an IES officer wrote to Prime Minister Vajpayee, exposing corruption in the $10 billion Golden Quadrilateral Corridor - India's biggest highway project.
Designed to construct 14,000 km of 4-lane expressways connecting Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, and Kolkata, it stands as the modern bedrock of Indian infrastructure.
He left his letter to the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) unsigned. Knowing the deadly stakes, Dubey attached his credentials on a separate sheet with an explicit instruction:
"Before moving the file, please remove the attachment containing my particulars to ensure secrecy."
But the PMO did not redact that information. It forwarded his complaint down the ministry chain with his identity attached. His name reached the very people he had exposed.
One year later, on his 31st birthday, Satyendra Dubey was shot dead outside Gaya railway station by the mafia.
They called it armed robbery. His family never believed it. The men who ran the murder racket were never touched, even after a CBI probe.
His death led to the Whistleblowers Protection Act in 2014. It was never brought into force, and it still doesn't protect a whistleblower's identity to this day.
His father, a poor sugar mill clerk with 7 kids, spent his entire life’s savings to raise an honest son who went to
@IITKanpur and then joined the IES to serve the nation.
On November 27, 2003, instead of celebrating Satyendra’s 31st birthday, that old man received his son’s bullet-riddled body in a wooden box, forced to weep over the casket of a hero he spent a lifetime raising for a country that wasn't brave enough to keep him alive.
A must watch video featuring a real heroine. No glamour, no flamboyance! But real achievement!
It is high time for Indians to discourage money spinning, time consuming, celebrity mongering sports like cricket ( is it actually a sport?🤔) and encourage true heroes & heroines of actual sports!😊

The ethanol PR circus is getting desperate. When the numbers won’t survive scrutiny, unleash the copy-paste brigade.
Same brief. Same graphic. Same talking points - pushed by 20+ blue-tick handles within hours.
Today’s masterpiece: “₹25 petrol via 100% ethanol hybrid!”
These aren’t 20 independent analyses. They’re 20 amplifiers reading from the same script - social-media stenographers mistaking repetition for evidence and blue ticks for expertise.
And the script conveniently leaves out the expensive part:
India’s ethanol programme is supported by cheap FCI rice, subsidised fertiliser, subsidised power, interest subventions and guaranteed OMC offtake. Yet OMCs still procure ethanol at around ₹71/L.
Then there’s basic physics: ethanol has roughly 34% lower energy density than petrol.
So ₹70/L ethanol doesn’t magically become ₹25/L petrol because a battalion of copy-paste accounts repeats the claim.
For an Innova FFV-hybrid, the claimed ₹25/L petrol-equivalent economics can translate to around ₹6/km in running cost - roughly ₹95–100/L petrol equivalent.
Subsidise the inputs. Guarantee the buyer. Ignore the energy deficit. Then have the internet parrots announce a miracle.
That isn’t analysis.
That’s PR with a blue tick.
Stop copying the script. Show the math.

" Wo Maar dega to Mujhe maar dega tum logo ko kya, troll kiya to complaint kar dungi"

This old chat between Nimisha Thakuriya and a Hindu activist needs to be circulated everywhere
Kalyani, a single mother of a boy, started working as waitress at a mutton biryani shop. There, she met Mohd Shafi who worked as a butcher
He preyed on her and she entered into a relationship with him. Trusting him too soon, she lent him a substantial amount of money
What followed is too familiar: Kalyani discovered Shafi was already married. She demanded he return the money. Instead, he offered she live as his second wife and have her son circumcised
She refused and continued demanding her money back
On September 17, Shafi slit her throat, chopped her body into several pieces and threw the remain in different places, including a canal
Vijaywada police (Andhra Pradesh) found a tattoo on one of the body parts. When media reported this, her family came forward and identified her
I have repeatedly noticed this disturbing sub-plot in such horrific communal gender crimes: Woman lends money in trust. Even when he turns abusive, she continues in hope of getting her money back. Ends up like Kalyani
Imagine being so salty toward a specific faith that you deliberately wait for Ganesh Chaturthi, make a sign, stand like a zombie amidst people celebrating, and record the entire spectacle just to chase online clout.
The criticism of the word "putra" in the Ganesh aarti's line "baanjhan ko putra de" comes from pure linguistic ignorance. In classical Sanskrit, putra is often used gender-neutrally to mean "child," much like how "mankind" or "primitive man" in scientific literature refers to humanity as a whole, encompassing both men and women.
Also, the 17th-century saint attributed to this composition, Samarth Ramdas, also composed deeply revered aartis for Goddess Durga, making accusations of inherent misogyny entirely baseless.
This performative outrage has become an annual ritual driven by bad faith rather than legitimate critique. High time people stopped inventing grievances where none exist and let devotees celebrate in peace.
#WATCH | Mumbai: On the IIT Bombay suicide case, Former IIT-Bombay Board of Governors Chairman Sharad Kumar Saraf says, "...Professor Doolla is totally innocent. There is no iota of evidence against him, and still he is being mentally tortured and treated like a criminal, which is very offensive. In fact, it is very shameful and very bad. I have known Professor Doolla. During my tenure as Chairman of the Board of Governors of IIT, he was the Dean of Students' Affairs, one of the most upright professors that we have, a highly decorated, award-winning professor. And he took a lot of initiatives for the well-being of the students. And never, ever in his career was there a case of any discrimination or caste or anything. Even in this present case also. There was never any discussion about caste. Now suddenly his parents have started raising this issue two days after his death, which is very unfortunate..."
Now that the video is out that showed unfortunately Sahil was cheating, TEAM BHARAT demands that there should be an unconditional apology to IIT BOMBAY professor Dr Doolla, he must immediately be reinstated, the SC-ST act case should be withdrawn & a compensation must be given . At the same time we must help Sahil's family and have empathy for the parents.
@ogteambharat@Nidhzee@FactswithDinesh@neha_laldas@nachiket1982@Shankyram2
The CCTV footage of Prof Doolla catching Sahil Wakode with a mobile phone in exam hall is out.
Now Sahil’s father should file an Atrocities Act case against the inventor of CCTV, the company that manufactured it, the mechanic who installed it and the officials who leaked it, for causing him the mental agony of being denied victimhood and the potential compensation that comes with it.
On Sept 15, Supreme Court slammed Defence Ministry by rejecting 271 appeals encbloc filed against disability pensions of so many army personnels ....
Good that Supreme Court intervened to tame the Defence Ministry and its top guys and legal section in filing appeals after appeals on wounded soldiers' compensations ....
This shows that situation is same who ever rules .. Political leadership must intervene .... Just uploading @TheDailyPioneer 13 year old report on how the 26/11 terror attack wounded commando was hounded by filing appeals after appeals ....
The Commando PV Manesh was cured by Ayurveda... But Army that time won't pass Ayurveda treatment bills, saying Ayurveda is not approved way of treatment. Then Court intervened ... then vendetta started ...after Pioneer report - then Defence Minister AK Antony intervened and cleared all issues ....
Political leadership must intervene to tame this erring system ... Please see the 2013 article - 26/11 hero still fighting the enemy within! https://t.co/VaEGbLr40n
🚨 Nashik’s Niphad sees unusual protest over stray dog menace

Activists say repeated complaints have failed to bring effective action, with residents facing risks of dog bites and road accidents.

The most expensive part of a hospital bill may never touch the hospital at all.
A patient admitted for care has no way of knowing whether the price on a medical consumable reflects its actual cost or a markup fixed long before it ever reached the ward. That gap in information is, at its core, a public health issue.
A survey of hospital consumables in Maharashtra found an IV infusion set with a trade price of ₹11.05 carrying a printed MRP of ₹325 ; a markup of 2,841%. A syringe procured at ₹6.75 carried an MRP of ₹57.20. A catheter procured at ₹29.41 carried an MRP of ₹310.
These are not elective purchases. Patients cannot compare prices, seek alternatives, or question a number printed on a box while receiving care and the MRP itself is often fixed upstream by manufacturers and distributors, disconnected from the trade price by a wide, unexplained margin. The result is a system where the party bearing the cost has the least information to evaluate it.
The regulatory gap is structural: scheduled medicines are capped under the Drugs (Prices Control) Order, 2013. Most medical devices and consumables are not leaving both the pricing and the information around it almost entirely unmonitored.
A review of these findings and clear guidelines on the permissible gap between trade procurement price and declared MRP have been recommended to the Department of Pharmaceuticals and the NPPA ; a step toward closing not just a pricing gap, but the information gap patients are left to bear alone.

Rajdeep @sardesairajdeep , you are absolutely shameless.
This dress is distinctly Hindu and distinctly Rajasthani, it has nothing to do with "Mughal couture".
This is Hindu Angarakha which predates Islam by 1000 years.
1. Jama Silhouette
The Mughal jama wraps asymmetrically, one side crossing over and tying to the other. Ganesha's garment is symmetrically full-skirted with no side fastening visible at all. That puts it in angarakha territory, which is older than the jama tradition entirely. Even within the jama, Muslims tied right, Rajputs tied left. This garment does neither.
2. The Hem
The distinctively Mughal-looking hem (chakdar, with 4-6 pointed edges) was likely borrowed from Rajput courts in the first place. The hem here is smooth and circular, a pure ghera, which is pre-Mughal angarakha all the way.
3. Headgear
Mughal turbans ran tall and conical, heavily Persianate, with Akbar explicitly copying the Safavid upright-plume style. What Ganesha wears is low, rounded, and flat-profiled with jewel ornamentation, which is Rajput pagri. Worth noting: even the Mughal turban style was partially borrowed from Rajput practice to begin with.
4. The Shoulder Drape
The odhni draped over the shoulder is a Rajput convention documented consistently across Rajput court paintings. The Mughal equivalent was the patka, a horizontal waist sash, sometimes doubled. These serve completely different functions and sit on entirely different parts of the body. What's in this painting is unambiguously Rajasthani and unambiguously Hindu.
Election season in Delhi and suddenly the councillor discovered the road he ignored for 5 years.
Man: “Look at the road. Where were you for 5 years?”
Councillor: “Give me one more month, it’ll be fixed.”
And when the questions got uncomfortable: “Why didn’t you complain in writing?” 🤡
Apparently, seeing a broken road requires a written application.
Selection ho nahi raha, maa-baap ki age 70+ hai; yeh nahi ho raha ki kuch private job karke unko better life de deta. Banna babu hi hai, chahe jo ho.
Media feed off this delusion, wrapping toxic hustle culture in dramatic music and selling it as some heroic sacrifice. They frame routine personal ambition as a noble gift to the nation, as if his selection will uplift the nation and, as they say in the interview, bring positive change to people's lives. In reality, from day one on the job, he’ll likely just be shooting social media reels and pocketing kickbacks collected by his peons and drivers.
