Marco Rubio has recently vowed to dismantle the International Criminal Court but before all that took place, Reps Stevens and Thanedar joined Republicans to sanction the court.
Thanedar and Stevens were the only Michigan representatives to vote for H.R. 63.
The bill imposes sanctions and revokes visas on those who assist the ICC and says the U.S. and Israel arenโt part of the Rome statute so they have no jurisdiction over the U.S. or Israel.
The bill was introduced after the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant.
