I ran out of time to do the software for my @adafruit NeoPixel tree, but the hardware is pretty much good to go! Two 30-LED strands, 1 ring under the star, and a 5V 10A power supply. ๐
Software stack will most likely be MQTT+Go+React.
Once again Iโve nerd sniped myself to spend way too much time on a project that wonโt do a lot, yay!
Iโd heard about TCP/IP communication via SLIP and wanted to see if I could accomplish this wirelessly with Arduinos equipped with the nRF24L01+ radio.
@factoidforrest It did, but I remember running into some issues before pausing the project. I think I was struggling with saturated receive buffers on both radios and data being dropped, resulting in broken frames and probably a flood of TCP retries.
ICMP requests worked fine.
excited to announce @onbeeper is joining our mission to democratize messaging and build the best messaging app in the world.
@ericmigi and i've known each other for a few years, shared similar values around messaging and built teams of the best reverse engineers in the world.
we'll:
* continue to ensure security/privacy with on-device architecture
* transition to the beeper name going forward
* merge teams + products over time
@jy ๐ @jy Iโm not going to be a big help on this one due to lack of rssCloud experience, but our support team would be happy to assist: https://t.co/yGsMFZo3dY
Thatโs an interesting response from the API. ๐ค
Massive performance improvement coming from the M1 to the M3 Pro. Iโve finally joined the club of no Touch Bar, plenty of ports, MagSafe, and a decent camera.
Now the software just needs to catch up.
