PGY-3 @ Hopkins l Future Interventional Pain Physician | Bringing You Evidence Based Medicine so you can become your happiest, healthiest, fittest self 🩺💪🏼
As a resident physician, my deepest passion is researching science-based medicine to help people become their healthiest, happiest, and fittest selves 🩺🧬.
I’m using this space to share the data-driven protocols I’m obsessed with- starting with the "zone training” 🏃🏽️💨
True wellness isn't found in a pill; it’s in the precise application of physiological stress. Even during busy weeks at conferences like #NANS2026, the protocol remains.
Get comfortable in the red zone. Your future self is counting on it. 🩺💪
#HybridAthlete#Longevity
Why the red zone?
• Stroke Volume: 90%+ HR_{max} forces the left ventricle to its limit, increasing cardiac output.
• Mitochondria: Zone 5 signals for density/efficiency more aggressively than steady-state.
• Reserve: You are "banking" aerobic capacity for your 80s. (3/4)
I don’t view training as a hobby; it’s a clinical intervention for physiological integrity.
While Zone 2 is the base, peak aerobic capacity (VO_2 max) is one of the strongest predictors of all-cause mortality. To truly optimize it, we must push into Zones 4 & 5. 🧪✨ (2/4)
An amazing weekend at #NANS2026? The people. 🥂 Met so many brilliant clinicians and researchers this week. Coming away with a ton of new ideas and, more importantly, some great new connections in the field. Feeling lucky to be part of this community. 🧬✨

The best few days in Lake Tahoe. So thankful just 1.5 years post ACL surgery / meniscus repair I get to do what I love again!! Can’t ever underestimate the importance of rehab post- op :)
It's Day 2, and there's so much to see, learn and hear. Hope you enjoy these highlights from the last two days. What is your favorite meeting moment so far?
