You've hit the nail on the head. Thanks for your honest assessment of the current state of young people's mental health support @romankemp.
We're 100% behind your call for the government to put Mental Health Support Teams in ALL schools.
Young people deserve better.

And what about being truly person centred and working with the young person to help them regulate? Intervene early, avoid hospital, provide person centred support in familiar surroundings.
This was a really tough read for me. The National Autistic Society says it hears from hundreds of people trapped in a similar cycle.
It wants the government and NHS to put more money into mental health services that support people at home and to intervene early.
I really struggle with the use of the word complex as it locates the difficulty firmly within the young person. What about changing the complex environment instead and seeing what difference that makes?
@ChildrensComm We're disappointed to see the huge gap in this report - no mention at all of neurodivergent young people. Government are aware of the very high % of young people under CAMHS services who are neurodivergent. The 71% of children in inpatient care who are girls are likely to be ND.
Are you passionate about supporting the mental health of CYP? Do you have experience in CBT? Then come and be a key part of delivering @ThoughtfullMHST in West Sussex as a Senior MH Practitioner in Crawley or MidSussex/Horsham @cypcbtspft@SPFTNHS_careers@se_ppn@BABCPcaf_sig
@jackthorne Listening to Desert Island Discs with @jackthorne and @laurenlaverne now. The most beautiful piece of radio. And thank you for sharing your diagnosis news. It is indeed a complicated process and stories like this broaden the perception of autism and how it can show itself.
Do you want to start the new year in a role where you're making a difference.Focus on early intervention/prevention in CYP mental health, empowering CYP, parents & schools to promote emotional wellbeing & mental health. Then apply for a key role in the development of this service

@MzYummyDread@CarolynTara Yes please! We loved Blood Like Magic (properly loved it) and have just bought Blood Like Fate (think it was only published in the Uk in August). A YA list would be fabulous for one nearly 15 year old reader (and her mum).

We've heard enough promises from politicians.
While they’re deciding who should be in charge, record numbers of young people are being referred to mental health services. And hundreds of thousands of young people are waiting for the support they need.
It’s time to #EndTheWait
