I made a database and website that tracks MLB ABS Challenges and associates run & win values to each play. Data is also aggregated at the game, player, team, and umpire level. Check it out at https://t.co/Wqn91Ffj0j

@JWonCATCHING@WeinsteinJ78659 Hey again Jerry,
As of today's update, all of the data in the tables you mentioned here are exportable. I'll look into the hitter/pitcher sides soon.

@CPhilly19 The entertainment value of seeing the challenge screen go up + the strategy behind only getting two challenges makes a good case for it staying the way it is. Also there was a good amount of surveying that happened in the minors that led to the 2 challenge system over full ABS.
First reaction to ABS Challenge was no big thing business as usual. IMO when everything is said & done it’s going to a lot bigger/more important than we 1st thought. Consider the following;
1) The RE(Run Expectancy) is calculated using the following 3 game states( 3 outs x 8 base states x 12 counts) which adds up to 288 different # of expected runs.
2) To get a Win Expectancy you have to factor in 9 innings, the top or bottom of the inning & 21 different score differentials. That leaves you with 108,864 distinct game states, each with a win a win probability for each team.
3) All pretty complicated. Let’s just say that each successful challenge irrespective of game states is worth 0.181 runs.
4) Going in to games catcher/hitters have a decent idea of where umpires lose & win challenges. Now you have to be aware of the game states. Maybe you color code it from the dugout or 3B coach(Thumb up,down or sideways) before each pitch. Red no challenge/Yellow 50/50/Green when in doubt go for it.
I TRULY BELIEVE THAT AT THE END OF THE SEASON THE TEAMS THAT MANAGE THIS THE BEST WILL GAIN A DISTINCT ADVANTAGE.
If this subject interests you, there is an excellent site https://t.co/aNc4lvQcvC that covers this in extreme detail.
@WeinsteinJ78659@JWonCATCHING Hey Jerry, sure thing. Can you let me know which ones specifically? I'll find some time to sort that out.
Let me know if you have any other suggestions. I'll look into making the data exportable soon because it sounds like that's what you're really after.
@CoachRodrigues2 If you're missing one or the other, it's probably because the mid at-bat challenges don't have the 'hasReview' flag set to TRUE even though there was a review of the play.
