ہر روز دن کا آغاز کسی بری خبر سے ہوتا ہے۔وفاقی دارالحکومت اسلام آباد کے سب سے بڑے اسپتال پمز میں آتشزدگی سے 14نومولود بچے جل کر خاک ہوگئے۔اسپتال میں نہ تو آگ بجھانے والے آلات تھے اور نہ ہی کسی ہنگامی صورتحال سے نمٹنے کی منصوبہ بندی ۔جب صحت اور تعلیم ریاست کی ترجیح نہ ہو تو اس طرح کے سانحے معمول بن جاتے ہیں۔ایسے واقعات کے بعد جب یہ روایتی بیان جاری کیا جاتا ہے کہ فلاں اور فلاں نے نوٹس لے لیا ،رپورٹ طلب کرلی ،اظہار افسوس ۔۔۔تو دل خون کے آنسو روتا ہے

@Usama7 Marriott incident was many years ago we haven’t learnt anything from that incident. Fire department lack training and equipment to handle any incident. Fire department can’t handle fire in any building beyond 5-6 storey

@Usama7 The new management will keep on doing the same things. Issue is our attitude as a nation towards safety. We do not take it seriously and except for very very buildings no building in Islamabad has proper safety. Fire department in Islamabad is in pathetic state.

Health Minister said PIMS hospital is already working out of its capacity, blaming it is not justified..

This is Islamabad's biggest tertiary care hospital, the only hospital where people rely on state to get their basic right to health, and the Minister, talking like nothing big happened.

15 lives, 15 children, 15 families.. yet such criminal negligence and dereliction of responsibility.
What do we call it? Cruelty? Inhumanity? Barbarism? Callousness?

The inquiry committee formed to probe the death of 14 infants at PIMS is a farce.
The administration is incompetent, corrupt and has powerful backers that resulted in this heart wrenching loss. Remember the tears of the parents of the babies will haunt those responsible right to their graves.
I brought the issue of the protesting doctors to the health committee of the senate but all was hushed up and protesting doctors silenced . Shame on all those responsible and may the wrath of Allah SWT fall upon every single one of them.

Fourteen infants burned to death in PIMS is not just a tragedy, it is a crime committed by all those who are entrusted with running the hospital. And their bosses. While we obsess with high politics, this is the harsh reality of Pakistan that is a byproduct of atrocious governance, criminal apathy & and inefficient govt machinery that is rotten to the core.
