@Karen__Harkin A8: Collaboration using technology is so important. Both my mom and sister work in the business world and more than 1/2 of their meetings are online. Teaching students how to communicate online is important too. Correct grammar and effective yet concise communication #USFMedTechZ
@MajchrowiczMatt@Karen__Harkin I totally agree. I feel we get a lot of this info at the end of the year and then we are on break and we forget or donโt apply. Being in these classes helps me with that but I know a lot of other teachers are unplugged completely
@Karen__Harkin A7: I definitely think so. The study basically says that business need this and if we want our students to be ready to work, then we need to teach them this. Like I said before, some subjects lead to this and others donโt. But all students should have some exposure #USFMedTechZ
@Karen__Harkin A5: I think it possible to shrink the divide but probably not eliminate. it starts in the home and it is our job to help students go in the right direction but there are many elements out of our hands: money, laws, opportunities varying from school to school #USFMedTechZ
@Karen__Harkin A4: I think our digital divide starts with skill. We donโt talk much about that but if students have parents that arenโt savvy they are at a disadvantage from the start and that can trickle into their future. #USFMedTechZ
@Karen__Harkin A2: I run into this all the time. Students who donโt have access at home become discouraged and therefore fall behind. Overall, I see this as problematic for not only the current assignment of whatever they are doing but also for their future with the technology #USFMEdTechZ
Students could do these think aloud while reading at home! They could use websites like #padlet or #meetme to do this! Then respond to each other. You could even do it as a #googlequestion#EdTechUSF675 https://t.co/OuVH3LDFHV
Loving @quizizz! I like it more for an actual assessment than for a โgameโ. @GetKahoot and @quizlet seem to better for that! Great add here for editing! #EdTechUSF675 https://t.co/FFRZ26O2nz
We've added the ability to edit time without having to "Edit" and "Save" each question. Now edit time with a single click!

I like to ask my students to use some other tech tool when doing a presentation. A lot of them use word clouds. Works great for their attention getter slide! #edtech#EdTechUSF675 https://t.co/PrcaBgB2FA
Using twitter in the classroom is a great idea. So relatable to our students and really can #trasformclassrooms. It would be a great way to teach concise writing to students. Here I am trying to get my thoughts out on Twitter having to #rethink and #revise myself. #EdTechUSF675
The article "Confessions of an ed tech advocate" suggests to join your school's technology group which made me realize that we don't have one. Do any of you, and what are they like? We embed this type of learning into our period by periods led my admin. #edtech ##EdTechUSF675
