Zadok Abu Yohanna was born on June 29, 2007. He belonged to the Sayawa people and wasraised in a modest home where football was more than a game it was an escape

At just 12 or 13 years old, young Zadok made a brave, almost unbelievable decision. He left his family behind and journeyed alone to Kaduna. He was registered at Allah Football Academy where he began chasing his destiny. No fancy boots. No lush grass. Just bare feet, pure heart, and a left foot that seemed kissed by magic.

Last year, he was still that hidden gem — playing monkey post style in Kaduna, dreaming big while the world barely knew his name. Then AIK Stockholm saw the fire in him. They took a chance, signing him from Ikon Allah for just €750,000 in 2025. In less than a year in Sweden, the boy exploded. Goals. Assists. Magic. Top European clubs started circling — Real Madrid, Chelsea, Newcastle, Tottenham. But it was Brighton & Hove Albion who won the race.

Today, at only 18 years old, Zadok has signed for the Seagulls in a £21.5 million deal a record-breaking move that will keep him at the club until 2031.
From the streets of Bauchi and the academy grounds of Kaduna to the bright lights of the Premier League.
