@mjdtweets Cool beans!
I was the one who wrote this port (and the later 3DS version), so imagine my surprise when I saw your video pop up on my YouTube feed :)
Thanks for the trip down memory lane!
It turns out that you can make a ROM based Covox Speech Thing, and mine goes meow!
Well, not in this picture, that is just checking A0 to see what frequency it was actually playing at (~1/2 input clock).
A PWM signal goes to 274393Ns which simply walk through the samples in ROM
How I got the T48 programmer working on Apple silicon and Windows 11 for ARM.
What you need:
- Driver signature enforcement: off
- Latest Zadig
Step 1:
- Turn on advanced mode and select an output folder for the WinUSB driver.
- Hit the extract files button
I'm too tired and or lazy to get the power consumption measurements this time. I'll just see how long the battery holds out.
5KHz ISR for pseudo RGB333 charlieplexing
2MHz clock
ATtiny85
CR2032 battery
I've been playing with my charlieplexed RGB board again.
Shown in the video is color cycling by faking 2 bits per channel.
It is extremely memory hungry at the moment, so I'll probably rewrite everything later.
Despite switching at ~2KHz, it is still extremely hard to record.
I kept it on my nightstand to see if it would last the whole night.
Unfortunately, my cat loves trying to wake me up by getting into trouble and the positive wire suffered her wrath.
It was lit for at least 5 or 6 hours, which makes sense considering the earlier measurements.
