Our demand is simple: Parliament must have a detailed discussion on the brutality unleashed on students yesterday and on the government’s complete lack of accountability for the examination crisis.

Students were beaten for asking legitimate questions about their own future.

If Parliament cannot discuss the future of India’s youth, what is it for?

Visited Historic Shantaram Chawl in Girgaon, Mumbai, remembered not just as a tenement settlement but as a political landmark in India’s freedom struggle. it soon became a hub of nationalist activity where leaders like Bal Gangadhar Tilak, Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi , Annie Besant, Lala Lajpat Rai, Maulana Shaukat Ali, Umer Sobani and Sarojini Naidu addressed gatherings of thousands, mainly mill workers and government employees. It was one of the few places legally permitted to host public meetings in Bombay, making it a crucial ground for mobilising masses against British colonial policies. and it is believed that Bal Gangadhar Tilak first urged the public celebration of Ganesh Chaturthi at this venue, blending religious tradition with nationalist fervour. The chawl thus transformed from a residential space into a stage for political awakening, where ideas of self-rule, unity, and resistance were sown among ordinary citizens. Its legacy reflects the merging of everyday community life with the broader struggle for India’s independence.

I always tell my children that I expect two things from them: honesty and responsibility. Honesty, first and foremost, to themselves, so that they can be honest with everyone around them. And I expect them to take responsibility for their own actions and for whatever happens to them. When you take responsibility for yourself, you cannot blame the world and other people for whatever happens to you. You have to stand up on your feet and fight for what you believe in.

True fulfillment and happiness will come to you if you are kind, loving, and compassionate towards everybody else. And for that, you have to be loving and compassionate towards yourself as well. Don't be too hard on yourself.

I was talking to your head boy, and he told me he loves the school. I asked why, and he said it's because it gives him the freedom to express himself. I think that's one of the greatest compliments any educational institution can receive. If you're able to give children the freedom to express themselves, argue their points of view, and if teachers can listen to them, hear them out, and help them grow while understanding their perspective, then you've truly achieved success as an educational institution.
